Canon are running £450 cashback direct from themselves and other participating retailers.

I noticed they also have a 10% off code with Blue Light and I assume workperks/Student perks. You can then also get 2.55% with Top Cashback.

This takes the total to £2163.6.

£2979.88 / 10% = £2682

2.55% of £2682 = £68.4

£2682 - £68.4 = £2613.6

Final total £2613.6 - £450 cashback = £2163.6

I know this is expensive still but this is by far the best price you can get a UK market 70-200 2.8 for.

You can of course get grey import slightly cheaper but at this price differnence, personally not worth it as you would save maybe £100

I'd double check the Canon T&Cs as last month it specifically said EPP/cashback site offers cannot be used in conjunction. Almost caught me out.
Not checked but worth being sure. Otherwise great offer if can use both.

So Canon wrote back to me and confirmed that voucher codes and cash backs cannot be stacked, meh!

I must buy 10 to put on ebay or sell at the local car boot...

Buy 1 and put on a camera, it works better that way.

Great lens, I’ve had one of these for a while now. I wish the cash back offer from Canon was available when I bought mine.

3 grand for a telephoto. surely for buyers of this lens it'd be cheaper to subscribe to specialist websites?

How would that solve the need of a telephoto lens in your bag?

Awsome lens (like all RF's) and a storming price. I've bought most of my gear from grey importers but would definitely bite at this if I didn't already own it.
Having said that, the RF 100-500mm lives on my R5 almost permanently...
    Hot from me.

I think that’s my problem here - I know the 70-200mm is absurdly popular, but I’m used to the length of my 100-400mm, and the R6 sensor is so sensitive that I just don’t feel a desperate need for more aperture.

Did anyone check this with Canon? As in can you stack Bluelight voucher code with cashback offer…
