I owned the first version of this lens. I tried the new one and couldn’t see any difference at all. One thing I’d say is it does have pretty bad barrel distortion and the stabilisation can have a bit of a weird effect in video mode compared to canon at the wide end but other than that it’s a nice lens. You can usually pick up version 1 for about £500 so I don’t know if it’s worth the extra

Wow what an awesome shot :)
Have a parrot anafi, no propellers to fly of this lens when you least expect it (lol)
You might as well buy a Mavic air 2 at this price. Just my 2 cents :|
Well I've clarified it for you anyway, the point was in relation to the price not stock level...The sigma is such a sort after piece of glass it's always in and out of stock. Most people are willing to wait a while if it's what they want
Of course - £59.99 and possibly less with best offer on refurb, or about £79.99 and possible less with best offer new, from same seller. That is for the Smooth Q2: ebay.co.uk/itm/184356982002 There is also a model after that for not much more, a Smooth 4 - more advanced buttons on the handset, but perhaps a little more fiddly. It's about finding the one that works best for your needs :)
Any link for the model up?
Best offer available on this brand new one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362743748430 Costs a bit more - but telescopic built-in rod could be very useful for certain situations!
Thanks Harry :D - yes - seems a little unfair on Sony phones!! (confused)
Thank you, just wish the price had remained a bit better! Some good grade A refurbs for the model up with better build and functions on ebay. They can be used with quidco ebay 25% to effectively knock £10 off (providing cashback tracks).
That’s an insane price. I have the XF 35mm but for Fuji beginners this is so affordable.
My condolences...you should register for the stock notifications, I have first hand experience that they do indeed work! ;)
Danm out of stock, Had it in my basket :(
Amazing price. Thank you. I’ll have to pass because I have the 1.4 version but this would be fantastic for those upgrading from the kit.
Ordered one. Mine is coming from Italy 🇮🇹 which is strange.
It was on offer as deal of the day for £75. looks like this is expired now
I see it only for 99 , have I missed something or this has expired?
Version 4 out soon!
Use filmic pro!!
Thanks for this. Was gonna mess around with the German site but no need to cos of this. Delivery by 10pm tonight and a couple of quid cheaper too. Cheers!
£75 on Amazon uk
well what I mean is it cannot be used as a stable tripod. I have the combo pack that comes with the tripod but the gimbal will slowly pan around, seems to be a common complaint.
It does if you buy the tripod attachment
it's a great gimbal but one problem it has it that it cannot be used as a tripod as the camera slowly pans when not being controlled. So can't be used for timelapses or group photos etc
Missed the deal, booo Would of bitten the bullet for the combo if it was still up for grabs
Please don’t take my views personally, I’m just latching onto your post. so the boffins around the world got together to decide what would be the lowest weight that a drone would be that wouldn’t cause harm to a person if it crashed, they ALL agreed that 250 would be a good weight. I think that is a good thin to do, otherwise things would get out of control. Now that a drone has been manufactured and is selling on mass, that comes under that weight, the weight that all the boffins say is safe, the UK government have realised that they will miss out on stealth tax, they have introduced a third goal post. It has a camera, so we can tax them on that. Please, someone tell me that is not just a government scam. I am going to get a license just for a laugh, because that’s all the license is worth in the UK If you are a dk you will be a dk licences or not, just like a car license. I have 35-45 things that will fly so drone tax here I come. When they get even more greedy in the next couple of years they they can stick it. Rant
Some information from DJI about the drone weight and the rules if anyone is interested. Why Did DJI Create a 249-Gram Drone https://content.dji.com/why-did-dji-create-a-249-gram-drone/
This is about the best site for finding out everything you don’t know about any RC craft. the forum for the mini is very interesting and helpful.
Good deal but I will keep my tamrac
Always wanted to do some stunts but never had the right backpack. Thanks op
Waiting for Osmo action Cam pride drop! Missed the last deal! Hopefully it will happen soon!
This is one thing, another is why they didn't use that huge handle of the stick as a powerbank.
am still waiting on an offer for the accessory kit
Very tempted. Really great price for this.
Good point, it is handy for using the extension rod. It irks me that they didn't just put a phone connection on the rod itself, it's already connecting to the data pins on the camera! Almost as annoying as the fact you can't use an external mic at the same time as the wifi module.
Since this shoots 1080p @60fps, why do folk not use the likes of this full setup for streaming ? Is it just because it's not advertised for streaming or what ? Hot, from what i can tell.
The pocket just looks so damn cute I want it!
The FeiyuTech RICCA definitely needs a gimbal or it's very shaky. But you could just buy a GoPro7 Black for about £200 with no gimbal and get better picture quality. RICCA V.S. GOPRO HERO 7 BLACK
I am looking for something similar, but the deal breaker for me is that it only can record 4k footage at 30fps, I really would like 4k at 60fps (I know of the DJI Osmo Pocket, it's just a little outside my budget).
Good price , Camera gets hot and you lose pixels...white spots. the 2 buttons on top are easily set to on so you will be shooting and not know ...very light touch starts it. You don’t swipe up or down etc as GoPro or dji. You do a circular movement to use the screen and need small finger or it goes wrong .. looks good though. Gimbal is fine.
I think you're going to be annoyed then... I got an OK result with them by messaging them to suggest a solution which they agreed to.
I messaged them after ordering and they told me it would be fly more combo. Mine states delivery on Friday. I’m going to be very annoyed if they still send the normal mavic mini
Done, thanks again, 300 Nectar, TCB + £3 too so a great deal
Same seller as the most recent deal, just look for the combo listing and the 10% off voucher
Yep I'll return it using item not as described. I said it was too good to be true. I haven't seen that but at that price I'll go for it, thanks.
Haha.... Autocorrect messed it up... Its amazon warehouse deals..
What website is con warehouse deals?
Yes, my point is that the 6kg rating seems really low. Most other tripods, I have seen on amazon when buying mine were rated for 8kg load. Haven't seen them myself, but just comparing the specs like for like, it seems to me there may be better alternatives at this price point. Probably this will serve the purpose for most. Just giving my opinion.
I needed a new tripod after my Vanguard aluminium one (£199) broke. I’ll be mounting a Fuji XT3 with a native lens and LEE 100 filters on it. It’s a decent carry weight and comes with a nice zip bag. It’s also >£30 cheaper than the nearest similar carbon fibre tripod (Manfrotto) on WEX. A feature I really like is that the feet can be screwed so that pins are revealed instead of rubber feet - no need to swap whilst out and about. Decent hands-on video Pretty good deal for me XD
Fair enough, think you are basing too much on one number, suggesting that this isn't a solid tripod because it "only" holds 6.4kg is bit dubious. This will comfortably hold any camera with >99% of lenses. Admittedly won't hold this beast but then nor would yours... https://www.cameraworld.co.uk/product/sigma-200-500mm-f2-8-ex-dg-nikon-fx.html I would baulk at the price but still lot cheaper than many.
good spot. So maybe customer returns.
Hmm advertising on Amazon also at same price but with used good condition as opposed new....
I've got one of these and the build quality is very good. Recommend.
I can recommend. Keep in mind that you have to use delayed release or remote shutter with larger zooms. Otherwise it's gonna shake with let's say over 30x magnification.
Any recommendation for a decent tripod with weights? So it won't be top heavy.
With this model Panasonic really wanted just to release something, as it probably has been a while without new announcements from them..
Keep the G90 then hehe. Got the 14-140mm lens kit from John Lewis.
Apart from weight and EVF resolution, non whatsoever, it's just about worse in every other department.
Is there an advantage of this over the G90
Sounds like you're after something for a small film production (4k, external mic and sound monitor) you might be more suited to finding a GH5 or Sony A7ii, which are two of the main go-to video mirrorless cameras. Don't get hung up on the HDMI port size, most cameras have a mini port to keep the camera body compact and you can buy a £3 cable to convert between the two on Amazon.
Just got on from Alexandria Scotland
That seems like a good advertising;)
Looks like its available online also?
Don't know but it's also under camera accessories! (lol)
Lay money with a good fire as they aren’t solid steel they will warp or melt !
You can use the GoPro 8 as a webcam on Mac and soon Windows. This would make a good stand, although you could find something cheaper to do it.
Encryption sawtooth! I'm sold
Few reviews state a couple of similar problems happening with this mount. Maybe worth signing up to GoPro plus and getting the 3-way Mount 50% off at £30 (confused) I do fancy a grip like this. I have the el grande which is great for the reach but being able to angle it sometimes would be a bonus.
Shows as £28.99...might be worth adding to the post that you need to add the 5% off voucher on (y)
Sounds like you're speaking from experience (lol) (lol) (cheeky)
Like you, this is my first tripod, and I thought it was a good deal when compared to the RRP of this product and equivalent brands that sit just below the professional market. I tend to avoid some of the cheap Chinese brands after being bitten a couple of times on Amazon - but this is purely personal preference.
Seems a lot for a tripod
I bought this. First ever tripod, and I'm no professional, but it does the job and seems to be less gimmicky than the product here? I checked this one out and they sell feet for £35. Looks like another manufacturer buying into the Apple ecosystem. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N6JCW8F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Feel lucky “Tripod” do you want to make my day “Tripod” yep doesn’t have the same ring as when Dirty Harry says it...
Back in my day we used to call erm tripods.. Lols. Branding is dumb.
Still I had a nightmare buy from amazon lately, a tamron arrived rather dirty although optics were mint, they sent me a replacement & internally it was full of dust
Both are excellent lenses and incredibly high quality. I really do feel they are a step up from the FX range
Was looking at the 50mm myself which is meant to be razor sharp
On the fence on this one. It seems a lot for a 35 f1.8. I know there is plastic and there is Nikon plastic but it looks really plasticky to me, not like Nikon pro glass used to look.
Does look an awful lot like a selfie stick...
In the past I have ordered many things from China, in the days when it was worth it and you mainly got away without paying customs etc, not really worth it now a days, added to the additional costs if the item developed a fault you are shafted. Looks a nice product though, what is the equivalent that is available in the UK
Not sure the shipping all the way from China, it takes a long time, may need to pay duty ( How can they be sure no duty will be applied? ) also no guarantee foe the product. I personally will not risk all above just to save less then £10.
Is this significantly more stable than a selfie stick? It says it's a single axis gimbal which I've never heard of. I've seen 2 axis gimbals but never one? I was gonna buy the Zhiyun smooth X as a foldable gimbal but if this is any good I'd rather pay half the price?
Received my item today but the box had been open from Curry and the battery was missing (annoyed) . I have massage them on eBay, only to get a reply about their office being closed until 31/07/20. Not a happy bunny ;(
That's a good deal. I have a TZ100 and would be delighted if I could buy a GENUINE Panasonic TZ100 battery for £14.97, with a free case thrown in. I have the equivalent TZ100 case and it's very good. My spare battery is a "Duracell" branded one. The camera occasionally needs battery removal to reset with the Duracell battery, which is unsatisfactory. Works fine with the Panasonic OE battery.
Thanks OP. Got this camera last year when posted on HUKD and been keeping an eye out for a decent case.
