Up to 120 minutes run-time†
Enjoy an amazing run-time of up to 120 minutes† with this twin battery model. Recharge the removable battery pack on or off the vacuum, wherever suits you, and charge both batteries at once in the dual charging cradle – no need to charge at a fixed docking station. Perfect for whole-home cleans and quick clean-ups.

An easy-to-read LED Smart Display screen on the handle displays battery life, suction level and selected floor type, so you can easily choose from 3 power modes, switch between 2 floor settings and see how much charge you have left at a glance

Perfect for carpets and hard floors
Two motorised brush-rolls work together in Shark’s signature DuoClean floorhead, now enhanced with PowerFins – engineered to pick up more hair**.

Glide seamlessly across all floor types with no need to stop or change floorhead. The innovative PowerFins brush-roll digs deep into carpets to agitate dirt and directly engages hard floors for a deep clean. The soft front brush-roll draws in debris and lifts fine, stuck-on dust from hard floors.

Anti Hair Wrap Technology
Tired of removing tangled hair from your vacuum cleaner’s brush-roll? Anti Hair Wrap removes hair so you don’t have to. A unique bristle-guard and comb actively separates and removes hair from the brush-roll as you clean, helping to keep your brush-roll tangle-free. Perfect for long, short and pet hair.

Bright LED headlights in the floorhead help to illuminate hidden dust under furniture.

Reach, charge and store anywhere
At the touch of a button, the Flexology wand bends to easily clean under low-lying furniture including beds, sofas and coffee tables. When you’ve finished cleaning, simply fold down for freestanding, compact storage – no need for storage hooks or leaning against walls.

Versatile cleaning
Transform into a cordless handheld vacuum cleaner at the touch of a button, perfect for cleaning stairs, soft furnishings and in the car. From skirting boards and blinds to upholstery and behind the radiator, clean a wide range of surfaces and narrow gaps with the included Crevice Tool, Multi-Surface Tool and Anti-Allergen Brush.

Attach the wand in handheld mode to easily clean up high and extend your reach behind furniture.

Anti-allergen cordless vacuum
This bagless Shark vacuum cleaner features Anti-Allergen Complete Seal, offering extra reassurance for homes with allergies. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air you breathe‡.

We’re confident you’ll love your new Shark cordless vacuum cleaner, offering a free 5-year guarantee (2 years for the battery).

I'm hoping to get some advice or opinions here.

An elderly relative has recently expressed an interest in getting an alternative cleaner to the one currently used (bagless cylinder vacuum which is quite heavy to pull around and needs to bend down / forward).

One requirement is to get a vacuum with anti-hair wrap tech - which is what made me look into Shark. With the current 20% off code, it's even more enticing.

I originally looked into their upright model NZ801UKT, but this might be too heavy at 6.5kg? This comes in at £160 after discount.

I then had a look at something lighter - IZ202UK - which weighs in at 2.2kg and is £184 after discount.

Then the IZ320UK came along with free kit, weighs 4.6kg and seems better than the IZ202UK above for an extra £15?

Which is best value for money in terms on anti-hair wrap effectiveness; to be used on carpet, reasonably lightweight and easy to use?

Appreciate any advice / thoughts / experiences with those shortlisted models.

Other recommended alternatives / brands welcome. (edited)

Hi! Mum is 69 and has severe Arthritis plus a dodgy knee.

She recently bought a shark corded upright and i definitely would not recommend it if it’s for your elderly relative. It’s a good cleaner but really really heavy. My mum struggles with it and even I do sometimes.

I have the IZ300UKTDB which is similar in weight to the IZ320UK and although I’m not elderly, my back doesn’t get along with heavy machines and this one is good for me. Only complaint would be most of the weight is at the top so if your elderly relative has arthritis in the wrist or something they will struggle.

For me the anti wrap function is literally a godsend however the car kit or detailing kit is completely useless so don’t let that sway you.

IMO don’t go for the corded upright but consider the other machine IZ320 if they have manual dexterity and strength in their arms/hands/wrists.

I can’t speak for how well the IZ202 cleans but the one I have is lovely.

Other option would be an upright Dyson which my mum used to love.

Anyone know what the difference is between the iz320UK and the IZ320UKT?
    G0foste's avatar
The IZ320ukt comes with a pet tool and is a different colour.

any chance anyone could give me rough dimensions and weight for the package? Had it shipped to a friend in Northern Ireland and need to book a courier collection and delivery to ROI
    CDF81's avatar
83cm by 30cm by 20cm box for the vacuum itself. Not sure about the car detailing part. Just over 5KG

Anybody used blue light card too?
    CDF81's avatar
BL card gives 20% off for vacuums just now but it’s one code or the other. Can’t stack them

Anyone else had theirs cancelled? They say its due to failed payment review but the funds have cleared my end.
    abberr's avatar
No, mine shipped and I used Irish Revolut account, revolut address doesnt match the shipping address, companies such as samsung often cancel my orders, but no issues with Shark

Owned a Dyson V12 which died after 4 years. Replaced it with one of these a few months ago & would choose this as it does a very similar job for £300 less. Dyson I imagine offer more cutting edge tech, but frankly it's a vacuum & rather overengineered imo. (edited)

The pet tool can be had for £30 (£23.99 with the discount code) for those who would like to add it. (edited)
    rommy's avatar
Have you used it yourself? Is it worth it? We have long haired cat and this can be handy. But from previous experience it can be really hard to get embedded hair out of carpet and we have to use a metal tool.
  11. countryboy1's avatar
What’s it got 50% more suction of?
    i2pm's avatar
50% more suction power from previous model I presume, so it will just suck up dirt/dust more (compared to their previous models).

Wow! I was thinking about pulling the trigger yesterday on the post for £249 as I could get 10% off that. But 20% plus a car detailing kit on top of the already 50% off (plus TCB cashback) only means one thing. This deal is about to get seriously hot! (edited)

These are great. I think I paid £300 for the single battery version of this (the IZ300UK) a couple of years ago and don’t mind as it is so easy to grab and use.

Great vacume and even better customer service, when my flex pipe failed after year they send replacement without any problems.

This is a very good offer for a very good product - dont not even think about it, just pull the trigger (edited)

Better than a Dyson or Henry equivalent?
  16. clarkydpimp's avatar
Worst vacuum I ever bought it struggles to even pickup little bits of fibre, the suction is useless it completely relies on the roller bar. Try using the car kit and you would get greater advantage sucking through a hose pipe (edited)

My 70 year old mum has one of these and loves it, as does my aunty, as so light yet picks up really well. I had a go and my brain couldn't get round it as usually you need a heavier machine to pick up well. My mother-in-law has a cordless Dyson that has a bigger cylinder to collect dust etc and if I had to choose and if wasn't about money I'd pick the Dyson as I prefer the extra bit of weight as feels better to me (I'm 45) and bigger cylinder. Shark only good on carpets terrible on hard floors and anything bigger than a peanuts gets clogged up I'm constantly un jamming it my Samsung jet. And g tech works better on hard floors

Shark very frustrating to use I have to pass over items sometimes three times before it pick it up imon my kitchen tiles my honest opinion having owned all brands but not all models I'm sure people will agree.

I have cleaned all filters just in case and makes no differences it's a design issue with hard floors unfortunately (edited)

Bought a refurb one a while back, great vacuum. Had been set on getting a Dyson v11 but deals hadn’t been that great.

    Two batteries is really handy

Pulled the trigger finally. V6 dyson was getting my head in now.

    Thanks OP.

P.s : does it come with 5 year or 2 year warranty?

    5 years

I use a 6 year old Dyson v6 which has stopped working reliably. Is this superior? I am prepared to spend up to £400, as long as it’s good value. I don’t want to spend more for the sake of it. Any vacuum experts able to weigh in?
  29. ashfeb27's avatar
Great deal as it also comes with car detailing kit!
  30. Rone's avatar
Brilliant timing. Our current shark is battered and bruised. Non anti hair wrap/corded also, so this will be a good upgrade 👌
  31. Anonymous_T's avatar
How does the head actually clean upagainst stuff on carpet?

The carpet roller is behind the hard floor roller at the front, so does it not leave a 4 inch gap around stuff on carpet?
  32. bigmo7's avatar
Would welcome thoughts on this. We have a Dyson V7 with a motorised head. It's pretty poor on wooden flooring, which is the vast majority of our flat. How does this stack up? Been thinking of upgrading as I'm getting fed up now!
    delboyd's avatar
Can't you just buy a fluffy head?

I've just received mine. It's a bit bulkier then our old Dyson V6, but copes better with carpets. The 2 batteries are a bonus, loads of attachments as well. It will take some getting used to. We'll be keeping our V6 as well for the odd little jobs for now. (edited)

This or... henry stick (with bags)?
    Chemical's avatar
I’ve heard bad reviews on the henry stick

This vacuum is quiet heavy compared to my older Vax upright cleaner 😔 vacuum cords, weight and portability were the issues with my older machine and I don't see much benefit with this one. Thoughts anyone?
    joco202's avatar
If you want something lighter, go for a dyson, they're equally as good. You could pick up a v8 for around this price.
