Verdict:
'Not only is this appliance a game changer if you only have a balcony or tiny patio, but it offers easy, mess-free outdoor cooking no matter where you plan to cook – so long as you have access to power. Furthermore, this isn’t just a BBQ/grill alternative; it offers multiple cooking functions. It can air fry, bake, roast, and it’s a smoker, too.'

Exclusive Ninja Woodfire Pellets are made of 100% premium hardwood and are used for flavour, not fuel – which means you only need 1 scoop to take your BBQ to the next level.

Our two signature blends can add smoky flavours to anything you make. The Robust Blend gives rich, classic BBQ flavours that are perfect for beef, pork and chicken, while the All-Purpose Blend is balanced and sweet – delicious with fish and vegetables.

Your grill includes a Wood Pellet Starter Pack of each flavour, and a perfectly-sized scoop. Additional Ninja Woodfire Pellets are available to buy direct from Ninja.

Does anyone have this and know if it creates a true bbq like taste please?
    Assured_Brother's avatar
I own one of these. It doesn't tend to burn as much so depends on what your used to for a BBQ taste! I would say it has a different taste rather than a BBQ taste, the woodsmoke mode is good but it depends on what you use for the pellets. Most authentic taste so far has been beef burgers, they were the best BBQ style burgers ever and dead easy. I think that's the main thing - everything is cooked to perfection and cooked consistently all the way through, completely unlike my BBQ!
  2. kaesarsosei's avatar
Would anyone who has this say that it can replace a dedicated air-fryer? ie there would be no point in having both?
    gman99's avatar
I still use both. Say if you need chips at same time, then it's going to be a pain to only just have the woodfire.

Also once you use pellets in woodfire, really needs to be used outside, as the smoky smell is always around, even when it's off.
  3. Shenx's avatar
So people use this over a BBQ?
    NewLongton_northender's avatar
We’ve done pizzas on ours too. Grill up to hi, smoke on and then away you go when the grill is up to speed. Brilliant.
  4. timeline's avatar
Can you put your own pellets in instead of their product
    gman99's avatar
    Yes

Sorry I'm struggling to actually apply the voucher, can you explain? I mean there is no obvious box or anything to me, but being a bloke I'm likely to miss the most obvious...
    Whatsleft's avatar
It's in the checkout at the top, says do you have a voucher code, not very obvious (edited)

Just arrived, well made and smoker seats perfectly on it
Only downside , no handle to move it
    Looks great though
    Let the smoking begin .....

Did you get the stand from Amazon? Currently looking at one for about £40. Looks like it is. I was wondering if it folds. (edited)

literally received mine this morning, I havent open it yet! I wonder if I can email them to ask for a price match but I'm also scared by the time they reply it will be OOS as it has been a couple of time before
    mlunadia's avatar
Same for me. Luckily I had not opened nor used mine not that it mattered as I’ve just ordered another one and if they don’t match then they are getting one back for the higher price order.
I’ve just emailed them and will wait to see if the honour the price match without having to increase my carbon footprint.

this deal from QVC with the extras hotukdeals.com/dea…448 i think is coming back at the same price very soon
    DMcG2's avatar
The only extra I can see is the cover.
  11. MusicmanJP's avatar
I don't understand. If it can't be used inside as a smoker, why wouldn't I just use a normal barbacue or my kamado outdoors if in pursuit of a true flamegrilled or smoked flavour? Odd product seems to be aimed at the meek who have lost their promethean instinct
    flavye's avatar
We have got a kamado that we used almost all year round but sometimes I just want a single serving grill and the idea to turn up the kamado for myself is ridiculous. This comes handy.
  12. sandt's avatar
I'm very tempted to get this. What wood fire pellets are people using?
    gman99's avatar
Look up big k, Smokey's hardwood pellets. They are better than the ninja ones.
  13. Korg7's avatar
I have one of these, it's decent but can only be used outside with the smoker (which is the main selling point)

After the gimmick wore off after a month, I went back to using my charcoal BBQ. Yes, it's a little more faffy but it tastes like a proper BBQ and I enjoy the whole ritual of a proper BBQ.

I also own a gas BBQ, and when using a smoke box, it tastes almost identical (even better) than this ninja.

Don't get me wrong, this ninja is decent but in my situation the gas & charcoal BBQ is still superior. If I'm going to use the ninja outside, I may as well fire up the gas or charcoal BBQ.
    mu1's avatar
I want to slow cook, off the bone with smokey flavour made simple. I think this does the job. Smoking on a charcoal grill feels like there's more chances of messing up.
  14. MSHawk's avatar
I really want one but just saw in the specs that it’s for outdoor use only. Great deal tho! If I could use it indoors also I’d buy it but I guess that defeats the purpose of it being a bbq. Cracking deal tho!
    bellboys's avatar
    Author
Apparently it can be used indoors but not with the smoker?
  15. Maxm4n's avatar
Sorry it may sounds stupid, but can I use this indors?
    FooFighter's avatar
    Yes without the smoker element
  16. cshaz's avatar
These are great. So much easier and quicker, and the taste is really good with the smoker. Only negative I’d say are that you don’t really feel like you’re barbecuing, and be aware it doesn’t come with a stand
  17. NewLongton_northender's avatar
Great deal. I was lucky enough to get one with the Lakeland voucher so similar price to this. It is brilliant. It air fry’s really nicely , the grill plus smoke creates bbq food and the smoker is awesome. I’ve done a 5 hour pulled pork and a 3 hour smoked whole chicken - both came out amazing. We have also got a huge 9kg bag of hickory pellets for around £20 which will keep us in smoke through the summer and beyond. This really is as good as the YouTube videos suggest!!
    bellboys's avatar
    Author
You've also got that unbeatable Lakeland warranty. Those 20% vouchers are pretty brilliant aren't they?
  18. jig2480's avatar
Absolutely love mine. Great at this price - similar to what I paid at Very but that was with the 20% new customer & credit check which I know doesn’t suit everyone.

Quick tip - put a piece of foil on the wood chip holder whilst it’s cooling to prevent it sticking. Also if you have problems getting the wood chips to ignite microwave them for 30 seconds to get any moisture out. Cooking with CJ on u tube has loads of great tips.

    CJ from Baywatch?
  19. sandt's avatar
Can anyone recommend a stand or alternative. Don't want to pay £150 for one
    Lauren_SmithYRk's avatar
I don't know if they're any cheaper, but you can search for bbq tables or outdoor prep tables and you *should* be able to find an alternative which probably looks nicer too 😁
  20. cutthroat_jake's avatar
Potentially sub £250 if TopCashback pays out at 13.75%!
UPDATE: Not quite. Mine tracked at £20.41, so final price should be £259.58

Not sure why but mines tracked at £13.88

They sell "high-quality Kitchen tiils." It says...

Why is the website ESports when it's kitchen item based??

Looks like he has set it up like that as there is a store with the same name but .uk instead of .shop so when people search for it they see positive reviews
  22. Tyrone_H_'s avatar
Do these get hot underneath? Rather than buy the official stand can I just make one out of wood?
    Steve-O.2008's avatar
Will be fine, it has feet and a gap under it.

Also the site shows it on wood

To me it's just an expensive unnecessary gimmick. However, it takes the jobs of 2 items into 1 so I can see how it would benefit some ppl. Heat for the discount/deal!
    sotv's avatar
Have to agree, can see the benefit for some people for ease of use and compact size and they don't olready own an air fryer.

If you really want a portable pellet grill and own an air fryer already, you can get a dedicated one with a temp controller, at least 6 x the hopper size, temp probe and 50% more cooking space + 1000F searing for the RRP of this one. Not in the market for one, but if I was I know which one I'd chose especially as I already own an air fryer.

Ordered this last night, can’t believe the stand is £149 that’s more than the George Foreman indoor outdoor grill I was going to buy before I impulse bought this (edited)

If you haven’t had a very credit account before you can get 20% off your first order that way. It’s what we did. Opened a credit account, got £1000 credit, used the code welcome for 20% off, bringing it down to sub £280, but there is a £3.99 delivery fee making it £283. Can pay the account off as soon as dispatched.
