sorted byThe scissors are limited use but still OK for a loose fingernail or similar.
Can't remember the last time I needed a corkscrew as we mainly drink white wine that tends to be screw top now.
Many years ago, on an Interrail tour around Europe, I bought a Victorinox Swiss Champ in Switzerland, the main blade was engraved and everything. I imagined the Swiss Champ would be too large to be practical but I used it, often. When I opened my first bottle of wine with it - or tried to - the corkscrew broke off in the cork!
They probably have an international warranty but I didn't care, I wasn't a regular drinker, it just made me look like a prat in front of friends. Then the usual things happened, the spring on the scissors and the on the pliers broke from repeated use, the screw for the scissors came out and I couldn't find it, bit of a fiddle but the springs can be user replaced.
So, getting back to screwdriver vs corkscrew, I use the Handyman and the ingenious Cyber Tool pre knives frequently and the great thing about the corkscrew is a small flat head screw driver is mountable on it, which I find very useful. The great thing about the Swiss Champ is the Philips-head screwdriver snaps into the horizonal so you use the handle as you would a regular screw driver, used it a lot, whereas side-mounted, like this pen knife has, using it takes some getting used to but still works fairly well. On balance, with the budget models where it's either or, I'm a corkscrew/mini screwdriver attachment fan over the slightly clumsy-to-use philips.
Anyway! Must resist, I have impulse-bought too many of them. Good price.
I paid about 6 quid less pre covid than this price. I don't know if that is inflation or just a bad deal.
Looks like a good combination of tools, but never seen the point of two blades. I can't think that I've ever thought "if only I had a smaller blade for this job".
