One of the best SSD for Steam Deck. If anyone got Steam deck during the sale and wants to upgrade their SSD.

Posted deal for the same drive from a different seller a few months ago.

As far as the drive is concerned, works perfectly on my steam deck. Couldn’t have been happier.

I don’t think you will find another reliable branded SSD for the price as this one.

Note to get the price make sure to use 5% discount through coins.

Also you can pay after delivery now on AliExpress.

Nope. The WD you see in the image is the retail unit branding(you can check the data sheet for the product on WD website). Although buying it from AliExpress you will receive a OEM white label.

You can read the comments from others who have ordered from this very seller.

I have bought the same product from AliExpress but from different seller and have received the product and I use it in my steam deck.

Can anyone comment on whether having the bigger drive affects the steams battery life? I read that this could be a possibility but it was never confirmed.

Bigger drive shouldn't. A drive with different voltage absolutely would, though.
This one should be fine. I've got one in my SD and it works a treat

JBL Global Sales store has the same price but also has the '£3 off every £25 (max £9)' offer and so has £9 off

Still unsure I would trust AliExpress with something like this, but if you are willing to risk it and it pays off its a bargain. I have 1TB NVME in my 'Deck as well as 1TB MicroSD and loving it, one day I'll get the 2TB Nvme...

A great many people have bought these from AliExpress, I'm not aware of anybody who's had problems. Tempted to get 2Tb to take it over £100 and have a credit card take the risk... but as I said, I've not heard any problems so.

Part of me wants to make absolutely sure I'll have enough space for everything I want forever and ever but even if I put Windows on there and a bunch of non-Steam launchers I can still put games on a separate SD Card so 1TB seems to be the one...

I thought that fake SSDs were really easy for these guys to produce now. They even have convincing faked firmware. Not saying this is a fake, but this is something I would buy from a proper IT supplier. I've even heard of fake stock getting mixed with genuine stock at Amazon...

While I agree with you on certain non branded SSD’s. Replicating a PCIe 4.0 performance and everything is just not worth it for people making fake SSD’s.

This is what I'm wondering as well. Would be awesome to throw 1 or 2TB into my Deck, set forever.

Edit: Nevermind, now it work. Seems that my VPN gets me silently blocked from shops/items for some reason.

Would you mind posting or PMing me the link? It's 404-ing in multiple browsers nor can I find the store even.

    Or could anyone else? (edited)

Ah.... I just paid £79 for one of these from a UK seller on eBay.
At least I will have it in time for the release of the Rog Ally I guess.

I might do the same, it's £68 unless you have AliExpress coins already stacked up. £79 mins 3% TopCashBack minus £5 of Nectar points is only a few pounds more, and for that you get better protection from eBay and don't have to wait.

Most newer MacBooks have soldered SSD, in which case no - they will not have a slot for any SSD. In the older model, possibly yes. What is your MacBook model?

Just paid $126 for the 2TB, which according to the Mastercard currency converter would have been £100.07 yesterday, so fingers crossed it's not far above that.
I also bought this 2230 only USB enclosure (for my old Steam Deck hard drive) for $18, ensuring the transaction will be over £100 for credit card protection (hopefully).

I just received a 2TB WD SN740. Checked the serial number in WD's warranty checker and it expired in April 2023.
