    Does this have DRAM?

In general if you ever want to find this, try searching the name of the drive and add TechPowerUp and you'll usually find it in their database with a bunch of useful info, so for this one I searched "Crucial p3 4tb techpowerup" and got this page techpowerup.com/ssd…830

On there if you just CTRL F and type dram it will usually point out a phrase like "a dram cache is not available".

The Techpowerup database is also good for telling you the endurance of the drive (TBW), the warranty, and if there have been any revisions that aren't easily discernable from the model number. Sometimes a drive will be released and reviewed, then a year down the line the flash is changed for different makes, or the controller is swapped out that may change the performance of the drive.

£150 is the target price for this drive. P3 plus would be my choice for £5.03 more

Hence the reason the OP said it's an "OK'ish" price.
Sadly none of us have time machines, if you want one now you have to pay the current best price.

If you don't need one now, prices are set to drop further so it may be best waiting. (edited)

With 2TB drives as low as £50, this price is poor. Cold. Drive is fine if writing isn't the priority.

That's not how it works. Sure it's cheaper cost per GB with a different capacity. But as 4tb M2 drives go this is considered pretty affordable. (edited)

    Hope it doesn't get nicked

Personally I'd go with the fanxiang S880.
TLC NAND, fast gen4, though it is £25 more.

Still, a decent price for this and not really an issue using it as a storage/game drive. (edited)

Read very underwhelming scores for this drive….better options out there it seems

It's a DRAM-less QLC NAND drive, it was never going to perform well.
There are TLC drives around this price now.
