Missed that Deepcool Gammaxx 400 V2 for £12.99.

This at £14 seems to beat it?

Is this the same as SE-224-XT ARGB?

    Anyone get theirs yet?

I'd be interested (and probably fellow members too) to hear / see how these have turned up for future reference - 'no retail packaging'.

I assume in a brown box - is it a refurb, used (though I guess it'll be marked as ex-display?), or OEM?

Is there a peel off label at the base of the heatsink, and is everything included as you would expect with a retail unit?

Same here. Brown box, lots of bubble wrap, heatsink/fan and some plastic bags of accessories. No id cooling branding, I've run the logo on the fan through Google lens but it's returning no results so god knows what it was intended for.

Probably should've waited for prime day as they had some thermalright coolers on sale.

Still, maybe once it's installed all will be forgiven.

Seems like a great price - so what's the catch? Gets pretty good reviews at it's normal £22-25 RRP.

It looks like there is a V2 out so they are prob shifting the old stock?
This one does not support AM5 or LGA 1700 (edited)

This looks like a rebranded Thermaltake Assassin which I have cooling a stock 9900K ( spare PC no turbo) very good cooler for the price

Upon looking it isn't a rebrand but if it is as good as the assassin it s a bargain (edited)

    Heat for the price!
I have a standard wraith prism cooler and will be changing my mobo soon. Wondering if I should go for something like this or any other recommendations, or stick with the wraith prism? Not causing any issues with my 5600x but I’m a newbie to all this and figured if I’m lifting and shifting parts it could be time to try something good if needed.

Wraith Prism has a 105w TDP. It is fine for 5600x but you may find it gets noisy under load if the CPU heats up, as it has a high RPM. If so then this cooler will probably work a bit better and be quieter.

I have a similar one on my 5600 and it does fine. (Antec A50 a real budget 4 pipe)

Finally got around to installing it. Lack of instructions not helpful, got there with the help of YouTube videos.

Currently stress testing with some handbrake encoding, will let it run and see where temps get to. Maxed at 90c earlier on my Antec A30.

First impressions are it's quieter than the old heatsink, although it's also twice the size. Be quite annoyed if temps don't drop just due to the sheer size of it.

What CPU have you got it on?

To those who've installed this on AM4, which standoffs did you use?

The red ones in sealed bag with screws or those grey ones loose in the bag with brackets etc, but used screws with red standoffs?
