This is HOT vs the SanDisk. As in literally hot. As soon as I plug one of these into my Mac it starts heating up. And after a while it gets hot enough to start worrying me that at some point this thing will fail.
Not had any issues with the SanDisks. Which is why I’ve just opted for one over the Crucial.

Ordered last week for £95…amazon won’t refund the difference advised me to return and purchase at this price…what waste of everyone’s time

That is unfortunate. I feel it's always a lottery on who you speak to. I purchased 2 phones and a few days later they were even cheaper on BF and the person I spoke to gave me the credit. Another time they made me send item back

How bad was it? It is normal for some nvme to be hot, do you want to give it a go to older Sata or external nvme?

This is a cracking price. Got this a while ago and love it. Certainly beats SanDisk and Samsung prices in terms of value for money, even with their respective Prime day deals.

It beats SanDisk in terms of price, no doubt about it. But Samsung has cashback deals now and again, and I've seen their SSDs cheaper than this. After cashback, I've paid nothing for my 1TB Samsung SSD. And I think the 2TB one was £50-60 after cashback, not long ago (edited)

Would that be a waste to use it as multimedia storage/player? Both my my HDD started breaking after about 1,5 years of usage, would classic internal SSD would be better than portable in terms of handling heat for extended usage?

Honestly instead of spending that amount on this, I would put that money towards a series s/x.
