If I'm not mistaken, this was initially listed at £179.99 at the start of Prime Day but seems to have dropped an extra £20 matching it's all time low price on Amazon UK. Still a very capable device despite recently being superseded by the Edge 540

DONT buy any Garmin - did this mistake twice- devices are ok but software is terrible, bugy, runs not recorded, sync issues.. read about it before you found that all Garmins are just useless and are not reliable

I've had the Edge 130 for 2 years now and literally zero issues with it. Syncs instantly with my phone after every ride and it's been very reliable. Just a data point.

The Wahoo bolt v2 bundle was down to £198 yesterday a couple of times - I'd keep an eye out if it happens again.

I ended up buying that instead - it came with the device, aero mount, speed + cadence and heart rate monitor.

Had a quick look on Keepa there and you're right - you got a great deal there - especially for the bundle. Didn't see any deal posted about it on here though or I might have jumped on that myself

For anything other than navigation this is fine. However the mapping function on this is very frustrating. I sold mine to replace with a V1 Wahoo roam after a cycling holiday where my son was using a Roam ar the same time. The Garmin works ok just so long as you stay on the planned route. As soon as you go off the route it seems incapable of re planning the route (like a car sat nav does). All it does is tell you to turn around and go back to where you went wrong. The Wahoo can do this and it does everything else the Garmin does at least as well if not better. I have a Garmin Fenix watch and the communication isn't an issue.
The Garmin comes pre loaded with mapping for your region but you have to buy anything else. The Wahoo has free worldwide mapping.
My advice would be to get a Wahoo. The V1's are excellent value too.

You can download free, worldwide maps for Garmin if you want, in a variety of different styles. Some options here. garmin.bbbike.org/

I've commented this before and I'll comment it again...

I ride several thousand Km per year, with lots of navigation (FYI: RideWithGPS is a much better tool for Route creating THAN GarminConnect)... And I've been super happy with my Garmin Edge 530 bike computer.

It's got a big enough screen, and all the functionality that most riders need.

It's quick enough in moving around the screens and the maps (especially compared to the older 10 + 20 series!)

At £160 (which its been at previously) it's about as good a value bike computer as you can get!

I'm almost tempted to get another as backup to my 2 year old one.

Does the virtual partner thing just work off just average speed on this (like older Garmin) or does it follow the varying speeds you did when creating the route for it? (always loved the idea of this feature but competing against a virtual version of yourself doing a constant speed is pointless) (edited)

Total crap navigation, mine will get you from A to B but chooses to visit C to Z first. Even on a road profile it avoids roads when possible choosing dirt tracks which will knacker your road bike. It's not even an accurate speedometer you need to purchase another add on for that. It does make a good tracker to review your journeys but google are already doing that for free. The most frustrating thing I've purchased

Brother 540 is double the price so you cant compare them. But this one is actually a good find
