No EU roaming and no chance to add it even for a price. Rubbish deal! Especially knowing their CS(non existent) no app, no wifi calling or 4G calling.

Yep tend to agree rather £5 a month with Lebara as I'm abroad a few times a year.

It's an ok deal for others but RWG keep upping the prices! Still a possibility of folding at any time imo

In case it helps anyone else, my £40 SIM arrived, received calls and texts ok but nothing outbound. Texting 669 with 'info ukrwg125' replied 'you have no matching bundles' so I wondered if it had credit but
the bundle hadn't been applied - found somewhere said to buy the bundle you text 669 with 'ukrwg125' and on doing that it said 'the bundle has been added to your account'

Subsequent texts to 669 with 'info ukrwg125' pops up a flash SMS with the data remaining.

Good deal , but zero support via phone every time you ring up , you get the message no one available to take call
    FIRE40's avatar
I agree with the phone calls but they've always responded via customer support email.

can you get this and cap it so someone dont spend any extra at all ie just stay at the one off charge ?

I haven't used them yet, but the FAQ has this
Once your bundle has exhausted you will not be able to use outbound calls, SMS or data unless you have a credit balance.
So I assume you just don't top up or enable any auto top up.

I just started a Lebara 5GB 99p 6-month deal that goes up to £5.90 afterwards, which works out at less than £3.50 per month over the year if I stay for a year.

So £41.34 a year for a way more reputable company, free international calls, good roaming allowances, and a 30 day-contract. (edited)

Are EE shutting their 3G network like voda (lebara) got my elderly family on a 49p/month deal at the min but they don't have smartphones so will likely get cut off once 3G goes
    StaceyQ's avatar
They'll just use the 2G network if their phone doesn't support 4G.

If they only use calls and texts then they'll probably not even notice it. (edited)

Why are people saying that they could go bust This plan would suit me as I don't use much data and I think 5gb would be ideal. tia

I've been with RWG for about two months now, no real problem except once when I couldn't ring anyone, service must have gone down that day. Customer service is non existence and there no way of checking how much allowances you've got left which is a bummer.
    FIRE40's avatar
message "info (package code)" to 669.

How do I check my balance?
Just dial *669# from your phone to get your latest credit balance. This does not include your current bundle allowances.
To check your bundle allowance please send a SMS to 669 with "info" followed by a space followed by the bundle code which can be found on the rates and plans page here. (edited)

Been on their £3.50 for a while now seeing if I can tolerate 2Gb. Seeing 5Gb is perfect! hot hot hot.

I'm in the same boat but concern if they raise prices after the 1st year
  13. bazray's avatar
Maybe I'm missing something but at the moment they are doing double topups so in theory if you topped up £30 you get £60 credit. If you then use that credit to buy the normal 5gb a month tariff at £5 then it works out £2.50 a month. Or one of the other tariffs if you need less or more etc...

Can you pay the one off 60 with credit?

for the £20 in saving, id rather use that £20 as insurance keeping my phone number i've had since 2000s rather than risk it on some dodgy company.

I'm already on the rolling £5pm for this 5gb, is it possible to purchase this and cancel existing package without losing my number?
    albertbigndaft's avatar
Can’t help with an answer to that for you but I found they usually reply via email/‘contact us’ through their website within 24 hours. Sometimes earlier. Not great if you’re used to quicker response times but they seem to have solved most queries I’ve sent to them.

No experience and I don't see any info so I would assume no

I’m going to get a one month plan for 200GB with this company as they allow full usage of your data for EU roaming. I’ll just tether an old phone to my Firestick so I don’t risk losing my phone number

do they? wasn't a case recently

Can i switch to this from three and keep my number?

How has this deal gotten so hot? Compared to most Lebara and Lyca deals it's freezing.

For those who does not like to port every 3 or 6 months after the promotional rate ends

Has anyone using the 1yr plan got experience with adding a data bundle for EU roaming? I'd like to know if it is possible to choose to only use the data bundle when abroad and use the 1 yr data when in UK. E.g. if making 2 weekend trips to EU in one month. (edited)

I've always supported RWG but having a nightmare situation with them! I already have 2 sim cards with RWG and purchased another sim last Friday. Requested to port existing number over on Monday morning and received email reply porting could take 48 hours. Old Sim card disconnected yesterday mid day but RWG sim still not working! Sent numerous emails yesterday and today and received 2 replies informing porting still in process! I have been without phone connection for more than a day. I hope my existing number is not lost but I fear the worst!
