Found this deal on the prime deals bit, I'm looking for an exercise bike and wasn't sure if this was a good deal or not, I know the ongoing fee for classes is expensive, but this is the cheapest price it's been for ages.

It's the £39 a month subscription that's the killer. Yes it's per house but if they did a cheaper per user option then that would make this a bit more palatable

I tried using the peloton app on sky as it's cheaper but it kept crashing. I just watch YouTube sessions now, there are some great classes on there.

Blue light card has 90 days free subscription at the moment

I have a normal spin bike and use the app for £12.99 a month. Great classes for little money

Have you tried Wahoo X (free version)? I use it daily and if all you want to do is join a track with other riders it's perfect

Depends on how often you’ll use it and what you pay for gym, etc. I paid much more for mine and it’s been my best health related investment yet! I cancelled gym memberships and use it daily - the bike plus on demand content (running, strength, stretch, other cardio) + i have about 10 people on my membership, so I factor all that into the “is it value for money?” question. For me 200% yes especially at this price!

Not sure when, but this seems to be expired. (edited)

Peloton's will always get down voted as people believethey are too expensive. These are also the same people that will get the latest phones and pay £60 a month just for their phone to do exactly as their old one did.

In my opinion, best purchases I have made and is a small price to pay to keep motivated and fit. The quality of the product is great, and the quality of content on the peleton app is excellent, with new content added daily across a number of categories.

If you have a friend that has a bike they can give you a referral code for some extras, if you have any questions feel free to dm me. (edited)

At least a phone you'll use excessively whereas the pelaton bike and sub, well...

Blimey, are these guys still going?
  8. Grinchyaaa's avatar
Can I just confirm this is a super expensive spinning bike with a TV attached to it where you get the privilege of paying £30+ to use said TV?
    HellRazer's avatar
Yes to everything. It'll prove you're middle class and above.

Seems to me people who have one usually love it while people who don't are not so keen, we have 4 family users with ours ,I use it 4 times a week with no heading out in the rain to join in the flexathon down at the local megamuscle , this and my free weights in the garage is about all I need and if I ever get tired of it I'll sell it on to recoup a fair bit of my original outlay, also brought up in small heath Birmingham so would not consider myself "middle class: 😜

Totaly agree with this, a rack of free weights and a workout mat. £40 for two of us is a steal imo
  10. Jammytoastt__'s avatar
Surely you'd just buy a spin bike for a fraction of the price
    Mada06's avatar
So where do you get the content from? Where do you track your detailed stats?

People won't understand this until you try it but you are buying in to a community which helps with motivation. There are so many different classes to take depending on your preference for music, instructor, type of class etc.

In winter - Road Bike + turbo trainer like Wahoo kickr + Zwift subscription.
    In summer - Road bike

Its a no brainer. I dont get it why anyone would choose a peleton over a bike on a quality turbo trainer.
    Ned_Kelly's avatar
I can certainly see your point Eddie if your a committed road bike user. Nothing better I'd say. I try to pack all my action into 30 min rides (albeit with constant resistance and no free wheeling) for seasoned riders like yourself would be a mere warm up I'm sure, love to get out on the roads but just not able

I love mine and use it multiple times a week for the bike, weights, strengthening my core and stretching. Well worth the money for me personally.

I think you will find Peleton was created by El Diablo

Best purchase we have made. Not for everyone, but works for us.

If you are competitive and happy with indoor fitness, it's a really good bit of kit. Used the app for years with iPad, cadence sensor, and HRM and wish I had bought this ages ago. Made much better if you have friends with one as the monthly and annual challenges can be fun and also competing on the leaderboard with each other.

Thinking of picking up the row next.

Nice bike but £39 per month is laughable
    Hotblood's avatar
    I agree £39 is ridiculous
  16. stakeholder's avatar
    £39 per month isn’t bad.
You will pay £25-50/hour for a personal trainer.
    markoUK's avatar
Not everyone wants a personal trainer! -They just want a bike and having paid over £1000 don’t want a dam £39 a month (£468) extra fee per year
    to use the dam thing.

    No way,to expensive

I pay 1000£for concept 2, which is a complex working machine ,for a loot of groups of muscles. (edited)

Is this a heated drying rack as my current exercise bike isn't heated and clothes take ages to dry.
    Ned_Kelly's avatar
The screen can get warm so fit your t-shirts on there
  19. fox1977's avatar
A fantastic deal and highly recommended, even with the monthly sub
  20. Jackattack92's avatar
Expensive but well worth it IMO.

The only piece of home work out equipment I’ve ever used constantly, plus cancelled my gym subscription.

Has anyone considered Apple Fitness at £79.99 per year - Seems far more reasonable
