This was always a great value bike even at full price but now Sigma have taken 45% off the original bike plus thrown in an extra set of £1500 carbon wheels.

So if you buy the 650b bike and opt for the extra set in 700c you have a do it all rough gravel bike and a great winter training bike.

Info added by

  • HIGHLIGHTS
  • Kingpin suspension delivers a smooth ride without the added weight and complexity of a shock and links
  • New low-friction bushings on the Kingpin thru-axle offer smooth action, maintenance-free reliability and over 100 grams of weight savings vs the previous cartridge bearings
  • Proportional Response size-specific construction creates optimal frame stiffness and compliance for each frame size, so that every rider gets the ideal ride feel and comfort of Kingpin
  • OutFront Steering Geometry - confident stability meets nimble agility. An extra-long fork offset paired with a slack head angle keeps the steering light and lively, yet delivers unreal confidence at speed and in the rough stuff
  • The new dropped chainstay design lets you run big volume tyres (up to 700x45mm or 650bx47mm), with 6mm of mud-shedding clearance on each side
  • Gravel-specific Shimano GRX groupset
  • 650b WTB ST i25, tubeless-ready wheels
  • Plentiful gear and water bottle mounts on the frame and fork
  • An integrated wheel sensor delivers hyper-accurate speed, route and distance info while you ride, registers your bike, reminds you of needed services and more, all through the free Cannondale App
  • Built to accept an internally-routed 27.2mm dropper seatpost

TOPSTONE CARBON 3 GRAVEL BIKE HOLLOWGRAM WHEEL UPGRADE 2023
This bike is currently offered with a free set of performance carbon wheels worth £1500, in addition to the alloy wheels supplied. Choose from the HollowGram G-25,650bs, or the G-27, 700cs, and you need never worry about swapping out tyres again. Take advantage of this fantastic offer and you can have two sets of wheels set up, so you'll be ready to ride, no matter the terrain.

Supplied with 650b alloy wheels as standard and wide 47mm tyres, the Cannondale Topstone Carbon 3 Gravel Bike delivers exceptional traction, comfort and control over a range of terrain. This is a bike made for adventures, be that on poor roads, gravel or even trails, and the carbon frame incorporates rear Kingpin suspension to bring extra compliance without adding the weight of a full shock.

Mounts for gear, bottles and mudguards make the Topstone a highly capable choice when it comes to overnighters and longer tours and the gravel-specific GRX 600 components provide reliable and precise shifting and powerful, all-condition braking. A Cannondale Wheel Sensor allows you to record speed, distance and route and view this and other information, using the free app.

I read the RRP of this bike is £3,200, so it seems they've added the £1,500 for the extra wheels to that. It's therefore 45% off the whole package.

45% off plus thrown in £1500 wheels shows how much they been robbing customers

In what world are the extra wheels worth £1500. Madness.
    trickytree1984's avatar
In a world where they are made from carbon fiber. Try finding some for much less

People don't winter train on gravel bikes. They winter train on road bikes. On the road.

I believe he is suggesting the extra set of wheels will have road tyres, hence using it also as a winter bike

    RRP is a jokeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Great value. At this price point either this or the Boardman ADV 9.4 with SRAM ETap AXS. halfords.com/bik…tml?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Cycling%3EBikes%3EAdventure+Bikes-_-Cycling%3EBikes%3EAdventure+Bikes-_-456366&_$ja=tsid:|cid:17632096466|agid:|tid:|crid:|nw:x|rnd:15449238427181149125|dvc:m|adp:|mt:|loc:9044968&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnrmlBhDHARIsADJ5b_kH9cWVUVG9Ejv-cLkC9_bUOHJq68Zre0HoBdP-oiSkiLJv14bm8_8aAsyYEALw_wcB

The Cannondale seems like you're getting much more with the extra set of wheels, but honestly....the Boardman will be superior enough for 90% of us, and the wheels/tyres will cover you for off road/road riding just fine without the hassle of changing over.
Tie that in with the superior groupset on the Boardman, I think thats where I'd be placing my money.

I have one of these, it's a great bike. Negatives, it came with a FSA crank, useless. Current Cannondales have basically one layer of paint so get it invisi framed. Run mine 650 in the summer and 700 as a winter bike. (edited)

    This one has grx cranks

Thank God they don't have this in S.

I think the RRP was a bit is a stretch however.
But you can't grumble at this price for the package.

    Thought exactly the same

Great deal and thanks for posting! But 10% charges for cycle to work and need to have the voucher ready before buying puts me off
    Quixotic22's avatar
Didn't know about the 10%, thanks for flagging. Currently in the market for gravel bike, liked the look of this but will return to looking for a reasonable Ti build. Torn between Sonder, planet X, ribble and Dolan

The RRP for the bike is actually £3200, so it's not save 45% plus get £1500 wheels free, it's save 18.75% and get some '£1500' wheels included (closer to £500 on ebay in all likelihood). The bike had been reduced to £2400, so they put the price up by £200 when the offered the 'free' wheels.

As an owner of many Cannonade’s I’ve been put off by the early variants of these because of PF30 BB and offset rear wheels … Am I right in thinking both have been done away with on this TopStone ?
    mostly's avatar
    Standard threaded bb

I gotta say this looks like a decent deal. Get a bike with 650 wheels and then have carbon 700 wheels to swap straight in.
The bike itself looks a sensible build without any obvious shortcuts.

Still a big chunk of money though.

That is a beautiful looking bike. First time I've seen screws on the front forks, what's that all about? More water bottles?
    lurkernt's avatar
    Yes extra luggage/bottle mounts.
Quite common on bikepacking and gravel bikes (edited)

    How fast does it go
    trickytree1984's avatar
As fast as you can pedal it.

Looks slightly like the Trek 920 I have...looks a good deal though

Very cheap but the quality is not good on these. I've been through 3 this year. The wheels keep collapsing on me!
