You're going to need an American e-shop account on your switch to make this work. Your also going to need an American address and phone number.

Fake US addresses: fakexy.com/
Fake US phone numbers: fakenumber.org/

1.) Create your American eshop account and add to a separate profile on your switch (look online for this)
2.) Sign up for a target account at target.com/ and join their "circle club" (I can't remember the exact name) when you do
3.) Go here target.com/cir…796 and click "Save offer"
4.) Put one of the games (if you add both you only get the discount once. You need to do 2 transactions, possibly on 2 accounts (haven't tried myself), to get the discount on both) in your basket and checkout. Don't use PayPal to check out unless you have an American PayPal account. I used a UK registered Amex, but I know at least one person got this working with a Visa debit.
5.) Add the download code to the American account on your switch.
6.) Enjoy

Pro tip: If you pick an address in a state like New Hampshire, or Alaska, you don't pay any sales tax.

Edit/Bonus: You'll have 300 gold points for each game, so that should be enough to pick up an indie game. If you're changing regions on your main account, rather than using a separate USA account, you will need to do this before switching back.

Be aware that your regular card probably charges a foreign transaction fee. Usually just 2% - 3%, but some cards also charge a flat fee like 50p or even £1 on top. Can check your card here moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/travel-credit-cards/

Nice. FYI if you're just redeeming a game code it's fine to just change your existing Nintendo account country accounts.nintendo.com , redeem, then change country back again

So only need to follow steps 2-4 for purchase? (edited)

For the people having issues, a quick google suggests this has been happening to legit US customers for years. I don’t think the issue is specific to this deal, or the fact that we’re in the UK.

Again, mine was refunded on Revolut physical (for what it’s worth: Alaskan address, gmail account), but worked when I switched to virtual Revolut.

    Heat & thanks
Code received & redeemed against my US account - £15.36, using Revolut

The fake address generator kept giving the wrong state but I found the address of a hotel in Anchorage (edited)

This is bang on. Used my Cryptopay virtual visa, cost me £16.02, changed Nintendo account to USA and back, no issues. Heat added.

Only thing I would say, don’t add both games to your Target account and do in one transaction, as it then only takes $30 off both, not each one.

Good point on that. I didn't realise because I only bought NSMBUD, as I already had Mario Party.

    I'll update the instructions.

Price showing as around 30 dollars, not 20. What did I do wrong?50575580-a1tNH.jpg (edited)

All gone through. The download is really quick! Cheers 🔥

Worked for me as of 5min ago - ordered using an Alaskan address and Revolut card. Had the same issue as a previous poster where Revolt blocked it initially, but it went through after verifying in the revolut app.

FYI took about an hour and a half from ordering, till the code was delivered/emailed.
    silvercondor's avatar
Interesting. I wonder why mine was cancelled and refunded

Ordered using Monzo using a US address, download code instantly arrived ❤️

Probably worth bearing in mind that you'll likely have enough Gold Coins to get a cheap indie or sale game when you redeem the code, I'm guessing maybe $3 worth. Might be wise to pick something up with it before switching regions back (if going the region switch method).
    jco83's avatar
Gold Points remain tied to the country you earned them in. So they will still be there if you change country the change back again

There's no sales tax when I purchased the digital version. I used CA address.

Interesting, looks like CA has an online stales tax exemption for "Entertainment" sambrotman.com/blo…tax

As says, you’ll have $3 in gold coins. The eShop is a nightmare to navigate, and it’s full of absolute trash, but a few gems I’ve noted at $1.99:

    Flipping Death (83 metacritic)
    Figment (75)
    Lumo (77)
    Toki Tori (82)
    Beat Cop (70)

    I’m not sure if there’s a way to run off US games $0-3 with >70 metacritic… ??

If i create a separate account on my switch for this process, will i only be able to play the game on that profile?
    pirate1's avatar
No, all profiles on the Switch can play all games on the same console

Bad deal as you can't sell it when finished with it. Better to buy for £35 in a good deal and when finished sell for about the same amount. Digital sucks eggs.

It's a good deal for those willing to go digital. And I know I would just forget to sell it when I'm done. (edited)

worked (using fluid mastercard) charged £15.50 atm. First attempt got blocked, had to confirm by text reply to fluid that this was a genuine purchase and not online fraud. auto response said ok, try again now. worked.
three emails received instantly from target - two related to redeemable code.
Changed region online to usa, redeemed code, changed region back to uk.
On my switch (non primary) went to store, searched for mario - showed as purchased. selected option to 're'-download.
    success! (edited)

I think we might be rumbled. Did you use a Revoult card? Some people seem to be having issues with those.

Mines just come back as cancelled. Looks like it doesn’t work

Will try again using Apple Pay as it’s still showing as in stock, but I’m not confident it’ll work. (edited)

There was one person in here earlier with a Revolut that said they had to "un freeze" their card in their appto get it to go through. If you have a similar app, try that.

Tried with a UK Chase card, order got cancelled. Trying again with a US VPN and a Monzo card, got the feeling this one may be a bust though.
    sambooka's avatar
No luck with that one either, think I'll call it quits. Good deal for the people who could get it though.

I've had my order cancelled 3 times using my revolut card (virtual and physical). Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong? Does having an English billing address effect it?
    silvercondor's avatar
Just make the billing address the same as your fake US address.
  39. Yoyenz's avatar
£15.27 for me via revolut. Have some heat
