still unable to see what temperature will it keep the items colder? 18 degree is just the normal temperature?

Its 18c below whatever the temp it. If its 18c outside it will be 0c inside box. If its 30c outside it will be 12c inside box. Etc.

I am puzzled by the Go Outdoors member concept. Prices are stupidly high to non members but if you pay £5 to become a member the prices are still the same as other stores if not worse.

They also only show member pricing on the shelf in store which is confusing to anyone who does not know how they work.

Just use 123456789 as the membership number which takes the price down to membership prices - great if getting items delivered, a little awkward if collecting from the store as they ask for a card.

used the bigger one of this driving to disneyland and back and kept milk cold enough to drink even when we returned plugged into a portable power station, need to use the AC lead for the speed control as when on the 9v socket its full blast or nothing, impressed with it

Didn't think you were allowed to take dairy into france since "we took back our freedom". We are going next year and are looking for somthing similar to take into our hotel room for milk ect.

You will need this in case you plan to use it at home or in a hotel

I usually check prices across their websites (I’m sure Blacks and Ultimate Outdoors are part of the same group) and often it’s Millets which is the cheapest.

I do like Go Outdoors but they operate like a carpet or bed shop (constant offers that are all more-or-less the same, inflated RRPs, etc). (edited)

I just clicked the link and it took me into the site no problem. Might be worthwhile trying again

Does it keep food relatively cold when out of power too? My ice packs did a great job last time inside a Lidl insulated bag. I want this to impress compared to that
    ZEbbEDY's avatar
yeah I use ice packs as well to keep it cold inside then acts as a normal cool box off the power

Who can compare this to Halfords one?
I’m not happy about that one tbh.

If I'm correct just remember this 20L box only as the 12v cigarette type end. So you'll need a 240v adapter to run if going into hotel, etc.....Halfords do sell them at £15 I believe.
