If they fail to switch on/off, turn on their side and tap on a hard surface. The switches can stick and I solved it every time by tapping them as above. (edited)

Whilst you can only apply one voucher per order, you can place multiple orders and get the discount on each one. These also work with Home Assistant.

Spend the extra and get the Tapo

Kasa is tp-link's premium range while tapo is their budget range.

Really good if you have a 3d printer. You can turn them off remotely when your print is finished, and turn them on remotely as well if you need to. And the energy monitor lets you judge how much electricity a 2-day print used, so you judge the cost effectiveness!

Very good price for them with energy monitoring. I've ordered 6 over the past couple of days.

Good price shame the extension lead doesn't come with energy monitoring.

Agreed. I have one and I've plugged it into one of these KP115s.

Be very careful with these, I had one on my washer dryer, worked fine until the machine started having issues, spent money to fix it, than had more issues, almost purchased a new washing machine, than noticed one of these plugged, once I removed the smart plug the washing machine is working fine.. also had issues with other pluggs tripping the fuse etc, I had 4 plugs now removed all of them.

I have about 8 or maybe more. Other than sticking relays (easily solved) I've not had a problem. Were they Tapo or Kasa that you used?

Is there an Android app for this? The KasaSmart app lists the 105 but not the kp115 as the Amazon page lists this item.

Yes they work with the Kasa App. I set one up yesterday and another today.

The non monitoring version is on offer for £9.48

Anyone know the difference between this and the Tapo ones?
    melted's avatar
Don'tt know for sure as I don't have either, but the main difference will likely be they use different wifi microcontroller chips and therefore use incompatible apps, because their apps will likely be developed from each chip manufacturer's own demo/development app. So you may find some differences in wifi range and features. Got 2 KP115 , just plugged one in & downloaded the app during which time I heard a pop! The unit is dead.
Plugged in the other which is working fine.
    Just unlucky or poor quality?
At £10 I am tempted to open it up to find out what went wrong

I'd say unlucky. I had another two delivered yesterday but haven't unboxed them yet.
