Is this better than the Crucial P3 1TB for £34.98?

    UK PC Mag said this...

"Our current Editors' Choice among PCI Express 3.0 SSDs is the Intel SSD 670p, which is also a QLC-based drive. The Crucial P3 outperformed the 670p in the PCMark 10 overall benchmark; it lacks the 670p's hardware-based encryption, but has a much lower cost per gigabyte. The Crucial steps into its place as an Editors' Choice winner as a budget PCIe 3.0 internal SSD."

Intel SSD 670P has DRAM and encryption but is older. Cost per gigabyte is now pretty similar. (edited)

Certainly getting toward the trigger point for me. I'm after one for an external enclosure for a holiday and if the 2tbs drop more I might have to bite.

I've got 4 of them, you REALLY notice the difference in speed. It's pretty crazy.

I'm waiting for the price of 4tb SSDs to come down to a sensible price. Won't be too long now I think.

    Is this this NVME?

Yes. Not sure why Amazon page says SATA, it definitely isn't SATA. (edited)

Great price, tuned for better app load times and general speed for what most average users do.

But not good for heavy work loads such as 4K video editing.

Otherwise great price now for Gen 3 drive with DRAM. Yeah it's QLC but it's tuned.

Had it for one year, still 98% life left and been great in laptop as OS drive (edited)
