Didn't these used to be 500g?

Yes, they were 500g just a few weeks ago. Shrinkflation.

I refuse to buy Lurpak. The correct price is £2.50 for 500g. Rip off.

SO, the pack size is reduced by 20%, but the price is also INCREASED and THIS is a DEAL

Well, I guess it is in a crazy sorta way, but surely anybody who buys this, must be tempted to shop around fer alternatives? after all, the ONLY way big business (big brands) can get away with pulling these stunts, is if we let em, by BUYING the ruddy stuff.

    May I ask
Has a Lurpak fan tested the NORDPAK offering, if so, how did you find it.

    Norpak at Aldi £2.29 500g
    Francisco_LopesdOliveira's avatar
I assume you haven't had lurpak in a while because that norpak is not as good as the lurpak. I get that it's cheaper, but it's definitely cheaper for a reason.

Equates to £3.44 if this was a old school 500g tub.

I switched to Lidl equivalent ages ago because of Lurpak crazy price increases (edited)
  7. umeandus's avatar
Yes it used to be 500 grams. I see they've cut their block butter from 250 to 180 grams.

Tried m&s butter during covid, would never go back to overpriced lurpak, plus they stopped selling the olive oil. lurpak which was a favourite.

Lurpak Slightly Salted Spreadable 400g (Asda Price) £2.75 You don't need to hold a plastic card to get the same price.
    haa0518's avatar
What plastic card you talking about. Nectar is on mobile wallet and dont even remember when was the last time i saw an actual nectar card, same for using it. And lets suppose even if anyone uses physical nectar card, its not that they use more plastic every time. And i love the personalised offers from nectar. The best imo so far
