Decent price for a 5kg bag of whey protein. Ideally I only purchase when I can get it for £10 a kilo, but I don't see very often at this price anymore.

Thanks for this - have you or anyone used this one? Usually use ON 100% whey or the USN pure whey isolate.. wonder how it compares?

This is concentrate rather than isolate if that's what you usually use.
Real world difference is minimal unless you have lactose issues.
This is a decent protein used many times . Good price .

Worse whey I tried. It simply doesn't mix and lumps.
    STEVENM1000's avatar
Strange I just use a ball shaker and never had issues with any flavours with mixing or lumps.

Heat. I'm currently on the strawberries and cream flavour. Kind of bubblegum taste to it which I like. Mixes well with water and dash of milk for texture.

Good shout on the strawberries and cream you're right. Great flavour!

Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonable to buy a kg of protein, preferably unflavoured?
    asoft4dex's avatar
for me this one was just right, try isolate if you cant digest lactose sugars

This is a decent deal but if someone was after Milk protein then you can buy 2x4kg and use the discount code. I've just bought it for around £65.98 which works out £8.25 a kilo.

Can you link me to milk protein please ?

Heat for the £10 a kg statement. Anymore is robbery really

I've found that this powder mixes well and the flavours are subtle but nice. It makes a thin drink with water, like drinking milk, not a thick milkshake. (edited)

Any BBW customers noticed that the Lux protein flapjacks haven't been on sale for months? Really missing them - they go great with a cup of tea!
    godster's avatar
Yes also missing these. Used to be great value and pretty good macros. I think they must have discontinued.

Good price. BBW Whey concentrate tastes and mixes better than the Amazon own brand stuff.

Heat. Shame the available stock in 5kg is very limited at the moment.

I think it’s a trend that some flavours like pineapple isolate are out of stock with 40% and back as soon as the discount expire

Bought and heat added. As good a price as I've seen recently for pick-your-flavour (or, in my case, unflavoured) whey protein. Many thanks, OP.

How much protein per 100g? It quotes 2 figures, one is as is and the other is dry basis. What’s the difference and which one do we reference to know how much protein we get in a shake?
    xusto's avatar
"as is" is probably more accurate. Frustratingly, manufactures label their products in different ways so it's difficult to get a true comparison.

Great deal and BBW have discount coaxes regularly.
I use this, smooth chocolate flavour. Tastes great and mixes well.

Good price. Not often seen at this price anymore

I switched from whey to milk protein and noticed significant gains.

Worth considering a complete protein Vs whey which came about a surplus from the dairy industry. Whey is still great but I the balance of amino acids is far from perfect for everyone

    Link?

Taste rancid and doesn’t mix well, but the price is good. Depends if you need something decent.

    Which flavour?

I tried protein from Body Building Warehouse before..
Although it wasn't the concentrate and was just the normal whey it was really bitty/grainy. I assume the concentrate may be even worse due to higher protein %.

The taste wasn't that bad though but deffo wouldn't recommend buying 5kg of the same
    asoft4dex's avatar
the normal whey is the concentrate, the others are isolate and hydroisolate

    Nice one, thanks for sharing

What's the unflavoured whey concentrate 80 like compared to say Bulk Powders or MyProtein? Any difference in smell/taste/quality?
