They have moved to EE and you can still get the 100gb for £10 a month the for 12 months (edited)

Wonder why Lyca is still allowed here when so many people complain about their service and customer support?

It surely works for many, depending on the area and location.

    Price is good.

2weeks ago. They upgraded their network. And the reception getting worst. Used to have 2bars but now no bars at all, especially indoor!
Email them but to no avail. I'm moving back to Lebara.

They switched from O2 to EE.

I just signed up 2 weeks back. Not equivalent to EE, same phone with an EE SIM got full 4g, with Lyca I'm getting one bar, something's no signal...don't know why but it's not full EE service, far more patchy. I'm gutted, thought it would be great.

Do you have the carrier settings specified? They text them to you on Android or you can enter them manually on iPhone.

i have both lyca and lebara sims in my phone. lyca has now become the better of the 2 for internet speed and bars reception now they are on ee. suppose it all depends on your area

Going through MSM link can get this deal for £7 but says for first 6 months so suppose good saving if you're planning on sticking around for longer than 3 and TCB of £12

What's MSM? Do you have the link?

My phone always shows that it's roaming when I use a Lyca SIM. If I switch roaming off, no data works. Pain in the butt.

Does it work for existing Lyca customers? Thanks

Qs i have for the Lyca customer services person on here; that im still waiting.

You have the turkish plans; £15 = 5GB / £20 = 10GB / £25 = 15GB for roaming when in turkey on ur plans and obvious when in uk on them u get a nominal extra GB, but nothing compared to the deal we are on and many other dedicated uk GB deals.

and these GB deals it says a max of 12GB EU, but turk isnt in the uk or eu.

so how much would it cost to boost a decent dedicated uk GB like we speak on that favs uk folks and that be boosted for turkey usage for the odd occasion, do u offer packages? boosters? (edited)

I'm trying to do a sim swap to an esim. The eSIM is working on my iPhone, the 5p 3GB sim is activated and working. However, when I do the swap in my account gives the error "Technical Problem try again later". Needless to say support is non existant. Any ideas?

I've had exactly the same problem. I bought a SIM card on the 17Gb deal a week or so ago and then I realised that my iPhone is compatible with eSIM. So, I got a free eSIM as their website said that I could swap the account.

I followed all of the instructions and inputted the data into the Sim Swap section of the Account Manager area on the Lyca Mobile website. I got the same error message as you, so I tried again and this time another QR code appeared and it asked me to scan it if the eSIM had not been activated.

A couple of days went by and the swap still hadn't taken place. I called Lyca Mobile Customer Services and they said that only the back office team could deal with the matter. So, I e-mailed them again and finally got a reply five days later.

I sent them screenshots of the error message and then completed their many mandatory questions to get them to process the sim swap.

Then I had a strange idea. My eSIM was active and it was taking incoming calls, but I hadn't registered it on the Lyca Mobile website. As I had ordered the eSIM while logged in, I thought that it would automatically register to my original account. Nope, that's not the case, so if you haven't filled in all the details to register an account on the Lyca Mobile website for your eSIM, do it and then carry out the sim swap on the original account you want to transfer to the eSIM account. After registering the eSIM, logging out, logging into the original account and then carrying out the sim swap form, the swap took place in a matter of minutes and there was no error displayed on their website.

It would be great if Lyca Mobile put a note up to say that when carrying out a sim swap, both SIM cards need to be registered with their own login details.

Please try again using the method above and let me know how you get on.

Is it normal for a Lyca SIM order not to show your actual allowance on the emails? I ordered one the other day but I’ve got no way of checking what I ordered as the SIM hasn’t arrived and the email just says I’ve got a ‘UK Hot Deal Exclusive S’ followed by ‘You’ll need one of our great value plans to use it - so why not explore our latest offers right now?’

Some of the reviews of this company have been woeful on all these deals the past month ..as for them joining ee , I don't think ee is all that , I have been with EE the past year and it's certainly not Everything everywhere ! I'm in the central belt of Scotland , so yes depending on your location but I honestly think ee is constantly overhyped .

EU Roaming allowance on this plan? 9.6gb apparently. Anyway signed up with eSim on my iPhone, all seamless, early days but impressed for £6 (edited)
