    Sounds like a great price, until you factor in the price of a hive hub. Only really a deal for those who already have hive in their home. Not voting either way, just commenting so hopefully nobody buys without realising they also need to purchase a hub.

    You only need a hub if you want to control via your phone. Our home has 2 Hive controllers in and no hub and it works fine, just have to control via the panels which isn’t exactly any effort.

    Given the extortionate price of competitors like TADO this, with an extra purchase of the hub, works out quite a lot cheaper.

    unfortunately tado fits into my existing system. The hive systems do no.

    Some come with a hub, what is the difference here?

    They run on a proprietary version of Zigbee so need the hub as the go between to your network.

    This pack is really meant for people who have multizone heating already as an extra to go with the pack including the hub. Can't imagine anyone in their right mind would've gone original Hive just for lighting. (edited)

    Does anyone know If I buy this to replace an existing faulty Hive thermostat (the bigger one with dial) would I have to also swap my wired receiver with the new included one. Thanks
