    One of the best shows and doesn't have enough recognition.

    First few episodes may be slow to pick up as it world building. (solar system building should I say)

    One of the best Shows made. Very realistic representation of how thing work in space for real especially the battles.

    Pity they didn't them all on blu-ray tbh Amazon just leaving 5-6 just on prime boo

    Lots of shows miss "characters" nowadays and this one has a load of excellent actors playing excellent characters.

    love the beltalowda's and Drummers my favorite character by far

    It's hard to pick a favourite character as there's so many good ones but I think it's Drummer for me as well, the moment she's introduced and laughing about how close the PDC rounds came to puncturing the reactor is good but came to particularly like her when she meets with Ashford and how their relationship develops after.

    My favourite space battle in the Expanse, I particularly like the sequence as you see Drummer enable all the torpedoes on the tactical console, confirm the target as the Koto then it switches to the external video to show the torpedoes firing to zoom up to the Koto as it brings its PDCs round and finally there's that little melted hole from the first railgun round:






    Something I also particularly like is the crazy detail in the console interfaces:



    Different shots of the Roci's console show it in different configurations depending on what weapon systems they're using, I liked the detail that it shows the two damaged PDCs offline but I hadn't realised until this video that even the ammo counts are accurate for the two PDCs that aren't firing.

    This show has excellent characters in it. Especially the women. I've seen other shows with a 'strong' female character in it and they fail badly. The expanse just hit the nail on the head and it really shouldn't be this hard for good female representation.

    This is five-star gourmet sci-fi.

    Smart, brutal, effective.

    Immersive world building, flawed interesting complex characters, a plot that's weird but doesn't jump the shark. Conflicts all feel very human.

    Superb cast, and generally top-tier SFX, props, set design, and fight choreography. Everything has real "weight" to it, from hand-to-hand hits, to impacts to ships.

    It's not perfect. There's a jarring instance of real-life necessitating a last-minute plot change and it's noticeable. But there's nothing that would deduct even half a star from this 5/5 masterpiece.

    I paid 22 quid for this set on ebay just few weeks back as its never been below £26. Had it on my purchase list when a TCB bonus comes around so only cost me 20 second hand. This price new is a steal

    Amazing series, I remember watching most of episode 1 and not sure I liked it enough to continue, but I'm so glad I did!

    If you like space battle movies/star trek that's a bit more realistic this is a must.

    The books are great and the show is a very good adaptation. Some obvious things they had to change like the look of of the belters and the way they deal with gravity, but the casting and direction is great. I wish they'd adapted all the books but the aging up of the characters for the last few would've looked pretty bad, so maybe it's for the best.
