Gareth Edwards directs this sci-fi adventure set in the 'Star Wars' universe, featuring a stand-alone story written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. After being recruited by Rebel Alliance leader Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly), former criminal Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is tasked with stealing the plans for the Death Star so that the weapon can be destroyed before it causes damage to the galaxy. Teaming up with Rebel Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), master swordsman Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) and a band of hardy freedom fighters, Jyn takes on the might of the Empire in a challenge tougher than anything she could have imagined. The cast also includes Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk.

    This film is how you do modern Star Wars properly, since 1983 the only decent Star Wars is Rogue One, Solo and Andor and some of The Mandalorian and none of season 3 of The Mandalorian. Everything else is just terrible.

    Very strange choice of music for the trailer. Looks promising has some `I, Robot`, A.I. and mild Ex Machina vibes.

    This is great very much like a modern old star wars film.

    the 7/8/9 were pretty meh tbh.

    Solo was good tbh I do think Ron Howard did actually rescued it into a viewable state.

    I really liked 7. It's up there with Rogue One (for different reasons).

    For me, the order for "modern" Star Wars releases (in terms of enjoyability) is as follows:

    7 / Rogue One
    Solo
    8 / 9 (both were a travesty)
