Thanks OP. Its Probably cheaper to do this than go to Windsor. I took my older children when they were little and they loved it. Billund airport is literally next door to Legoland . I'd do this if I could. (edited)

I went last weekend! We walked from the airport and it took 30 mins (along the side of the road). There are free shuttle buses, and you can pick up the timetable at the Zleep hotel (in front of you as you exit the airport).
There are also LEGOLAND passports to pick up there (if your lucky) which you stamp around the park and at other Billund areas like Lego house.

Photo is not Billund - it’s Nyhavn Habour

    That's what I thought

2 other fantastic theme parks are within driving distance from here, Djurs Sommerland and Faarup Sommerland. Both have some fantastic roller coasteres.

Anyone on the fence about going, do it. Went last year and it was fantastic. Much better than Windsor. If you go at the end of the school holidays the Dane’s are still at school and it’s quiet. Lalandia was fantastic too.

Be sure to check out the LEGO House if you go
It’s a must see for any age (including adults)
Basically highly interactive modern museum with a lot to see inside and a nice chilled vibe
Lilandia indoor water park is a lot of fun too

Did a day trip there I think in December once. Legoland was closed lol. Was about £15 return.

It's cheaper to fly there than buy a Lego plane

We did this a few years ago and it worked out cheaper than Windsor. If you stay at the Zleep Hotel at the airport. The park is within easy and safe walking distance around the perimeter fence, so you don't need a hire car. The hotel also did a package which included tickets, so we went for that. We also ate at the airport for our evening meal. It was strange to be sat at an airport without a flight to catch. The beers were excellent from what I remember. Everything was paid for on contactless.

Just being pedantic, but the birthplace of Lego is probably in the UK, as lego stole the design from some British bloke ..... (edited)

Is it possible to do legoland in 1 day or is better to get 2 day ticket?
