How can this be used as an external drive to copy data from iPhone to this without using a computer?

You can't, and that's a feature of the iPhone apparently. There are however iOS-certified drives out there that you can use. It's also worth noting that the Lightning Port on Apple iPhones, including the latest 14 Pro Max (and the soon to be released 15 series), can only support USB 2.0 speeds anyway. Faster to use WiFi. Can anyone help me with this problem. I'm looking to clone my old 2TB SSD with my new one, but because the new one is technically very slightly smaller, the option is removed.
I've cloned a load of SSDs in the past, always using AOMEI but its always been smaller > larger so no issues. Almost half of the storage space on the old SSD is unallocated, which I thought might have helped since there's only about 1TB of actual used data on there. Any ideas?

Never mind, it seems like EaseUS automatically gets itself around that issue. That'll be my new go-to.

Would a good PCIe Gen4 SSD still perform as well as a good PCI Gen3 Gen3 SSD on a laptop that only supports up to Gen3? Or is it best to just go for a Gen3? (edited)

I believe it would work as they are backwards compatible, however, only at the gen3 speeds if thats all the laptop supports. Someone please correct me if i am wrong!

Considering that back in march 1GB of SN770 was a good deal it shows how much and how fast prices dropped for SSDs

Are these suitable for a PS5?

I think they are but I think its advised you use one with heatsink? Not 100% though so following this as well.
