    Last time I had one of these cookers, I always had a problem with it creating a 'skin' of burnt rice on the bottom of the bowl, the rest of the rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, but I just couldn't stop it burning that bottom half inch.

    Yes, I followed the instructions for the water/rice ratio to the letter.
    Yes, I rinsed the rice thoroughly before cooking.
    Yes, I tried several different brands/types of rice.

    Couple of drops of cooking oil in the water and swirl it around before you start cooking.

    Yes, add the appropriate amout of water for the type of rice you are cooking

    Thanks OP But after checking out the reviews it appears it breaks down a lot.

    "This is third Rice Cooker that I've bought from Argos and all three have been faulty. Thankfully Argos are very efficient in dealing with returns but I would not recommend this Rice Cooker."
