This is the Gen 1 model with a 4 core / 8 thread Ryzen chip in. The 4450U is part of the Ryzen 3 line up and it uses Zen 2 architecture. A few years old but still a capable processor. It's married up to 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. The keyboard is backlit and the screen is a 1080p touch panel.

sorted byPerformance is still excellent. Runs super quiet and cool despite heavy load and mine is 8 core 16 thread machine.
RAM as is likely in single channel so would recommend upgrading.
Upgrading SSD would be preferable but 256GB is serviceable.
The screen is most likely base model with 45% NTSC so colour reproduction is terrible and 250nit is too dim to be usable outdoor but no issue with use indoor.
As this price point, you cannot do any better for a modern machine.

they also run very hot and loud due to a bad cooling system design
and poor to zero aftersales/warranty support
I no longer recommend thinkpads at all since 2020 (edited)
This has a soldered ram slot (16gb), but you can install another stick in the spare slot (32gb total).
I have the Gen 2, paid double the cost of this for a second-hand device. This is a great price for the AMD version and would be hard to beat for the money.
