I can't decide what to do, I've got the 15% voucher so I could get it from Amazon, but I haven't got prime on that account so it'll end up being £358.99 with delivery. I definitely wanted Ratchet and Clank, but I have ps plus and I know the games are all on there (although I think Ratchet and Clank is one of the games that are only on there temporarily, rather than the monthly ones you keep as long as you're subscribed, correct?)
I've never used a charging dock, so I don't know if they're worth having or not.

Pretty sure Amazon offer free delivery once you spend over £30

Ghost of tushima is an insane game

I’m just playing through it and not that impressed. The dialogue parts in particular really feel like something out of PS2 era with a distant wide angle shot and audio.

I have a PS4 Pro, these deals are tempting but will wait for a black coloured slim PS5 (edited)

UPGRAGE the SSD and apply thermal paste on CPU, i haven't had any helicopter noises since doing this and speed of loading games etc. Isnt that bad now due to SSD

This is a great deal. I can’t see a slim version coming out this year. Just look at the Spider-Man 2 ps5 special edition console. It’s not out until November and is still not a slim.
    Kam-s's avatar
If they don't want to reveal the slim now, why would they mention a special spiderman edition. Ps3 and ps4 slim versions came out 3 years after the initial release.

Finally bit the bullet, time to put the day one PS4 to rest. I'll miss listening to it trying to take off.

Honestly I feel the quietness was the best upgrade over my ps4 pro. Forget about the load times and graphics, actually being able to hear what's going on was the best improvement.

Are these price drops temporary like a summer sale?
    Izevel's avatar
    yes

How much of a savings is this?
    54M13's avatar
    About £100 - £110

The playstation 5 must not be selling well with all these special offers going around
    xp3200's avatar
Or could it be that a new model is ready to drop?

These are all great games but are all also available for ps plus extra members so I don't see the point in forking out the extra £50 over some other deals on hduk whereas extra is £80/year and you get access to these titles and many more...

Owning is great but the resale value is about £20-30 on average for these anyways
    Moody_Cloud's avatar
Some people like to own their games and play one at a time. Plus you can always sell the extras with this bundle and use it to pay towards a sub if you really wanted it.

ShopTo were the same guys charging over the odds when these consoles were hard to come by. Crooks. Haven't voted either way.
    TheCostOfLies's avatar
Pretty sure they were the only ones trying to prevent scalping.

People are gonna be so disappointed when they realise it's not a slim but a smaller discless version with a proprietary disc add-on.
    Shak5's avatar
It will be slimmer though just because chips will be able to be made smaller and therefore smaller size of every component is needed
  12. makkurokurosuke's avatar
What’s the actual advantage of PS5 Slim than the actual slimmer size? Yes I know it’s nice to have a sleeker size but the specs will be exactly the same as PS5 - am I right?
    Shak5's avatar
Being slimmer than the current monstrosity is a good enough upgrade
  13. Jasey101's avatar
Wow the deals keep getting better!

Damn, I purchased one from Game with the crappy free game. And they make you pay for returns. Sucks. Oh well, can't win them all.
    cookiemonster83's avatar
I assume you can't return to store?

We've had more good deals for the PS5 in the last week than for the entire last two years combined

PS5 slim around the corner 👀

Thinking about upgrading son's xbox one s. 1st thought was xbox series x but with so many recent ps5 deals maybe ps 5 would be a good choice? Will there be similar xbox series x deals any idea.
    tre123's avatar
Xbox series x prices have actually gone up. I doubt you'll see a deal at this price.
  21. sysak's avatar
I look forward to the slim. It better fit in my media cabinet because the current one is nowhere near that. 🙃

my spidey sense tells me there's a ps5 pro in the horizon?
    Random_Frugal's avatar
Yes, they are apparently targeting Nov 2024 but we don’t know anything else including the price or if the difference will be major
  23. M3NDEREZ's avatar
Honestly wish I had waited.. I reckon my PS5 has been turned on for no more than 150 hours in total in the last 3 years..
    Swarfega's avatar
I'm in the same boat really. I got it a year after launch and only about two weeks ago I got my 2nd PS5 game. I've just been playing a lot of upgraded PS4 games. There's not really been any games on the PS5 that I like the looks of.
  24. Skwoddie's avatar
I've just made the jump from PS4 Pro to PS5 - our 4k Blu-ray player had kicked the bucket and the Wife's been wanting to play Hogwarts Legacy - the recent price drops "forced my hand".

Amazon's interest free Pay in 5 has helped take the sting out of the purchase, too.

Picked up Stray for a tenner, which we finished last night and Legacy for £22 (local FB groups groups), which we've started and thoroughly enjoying all the Easter eggs.

Blown away by the difference (Raytracing & HDR on an LG G3) and we have sound running through our AV Receiver & Mordaunt Short 5.1 system.

Happy we've made the jump and there feels enough of an overall leap in quality to justify the cost, particularly as we don't have to buy a separate 4K Blu-ray player and can move the PS4 into the den.

I didn't realise we can still use the original PSVR with the PS5 (camera dongle was £6 at CEX) and that the speed & image quality is apparently improved by the more powerful console...
    RobinM23's avatar
Awesome setup! Not sure how much this matters to you, but you won't get Dolby Vision from 4K discs using a PS5 as your BD player. TBF I have never tried HDR10 side by side with DV, so IRL difference may be minimal, but i know DV looks amazing on my G2... I talked myself into a standalone player to go with my Series X (still debating PS5) cos I'm an idiot
  25. adamnsu's avatar
I have one of the original PS4 still running. My son only plays FIFA on it. Will wait till the PS5 reaches £300 which could be next year hopefully
    tre123's avatar
You could get it for around £320 if you trade in your ps4 at game. (edited)
