I checked the warranty on the Lenovo site:
    pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/…nty
and it showed 73 days remaining.
It gives the option of correcting the purchase date, which I did. I also had to send a copy of the purchase invoice (print to file from ebay). The warranty has been updated to now show expiry date 9 July 2024.

Do you need to open the box/use info you can only find on the tablet? Or the info needed is on the box as well, thanks? I see the serial number on the box. Do they ask for other information in order to register the warranty, thanks?
I've got mine, but I want to keep it sealed for my son's birthday.

Anyone found a case for K10. Bought two off e bay but they were the wrong size 2021 model.
    These are 2022.

Seems to be quite fickle, works on my 65w Anker charger in the second usb-c port but doesn't seem to work on any of my other ones or my car cigar outlet usb adaptor.

    50599781-00OMA.jpg

Tried connecting it with my Steam Deck dock (JSAUX) but it says power insufficient even with the same cable and charger which works on the tablet when connected directly.

Have found that it does work fine on a super cheap £8 usb-c hub with PD pass through and with a Carplay/Android Auto dongle it's only drawing 5w when in use so may just use it in a car with a power bank and not bother fitting an internal battery.

Just received my 32GB model, I've a huge selection of chargers. So far none get past the "please connect to the standard 12V 3A charger" screen. I've tried my Lenovo Slim 65W PD 3.0 that I'd read on the forum Lenovo forum users recommend before purchasing, the 60W PD cable on my monitor, a 45W PD that states 12V 3A, as well as a bunch of other random chargers that "should" work...

Might order a couple 45W PD chargers from Amazon to see if they work, and return if they don't. Was hoping to not have to tho.

I've got mine delivered today, the 4gb ram model. I want to keep it sealed for my son's birthday.

Can those who got theirs confirm if there is an on/off button like with any normal tablet? If yes, pressing the button (not long press) will switch the screen off/put the tablet in sleep mode? When plugged in, will it switch on automatically, or do you need to press the button to start the tablet?
Basically, apart from missing the battery, does this tablet have any buttons, or is it any different than a 'normal' tablet?

    Many thanks in advance! (edited)
    fiffer's avatar
It looks just like a normal tablet with a power button and up/down volume.
Pressing the power button switches the screen on/off. Long press shows power off and restart.
It will start immediately when power is connected. When you power it off it will restart when power is still attached. If you want to permanently turn it off you will have to disconnect power as soon as it has gone through the power down process.

64/4GB OTA upgraded to android 12 now thanks to Afrocelt360. The only downside is (there is always one) the auto brightness level is too aggressively low now.

    Is the advert below from
the same seller better, as it has more storage (32GB vs. 64GB), for the same price?

In fact, that one has 4GB RAM, and this one is only 3, so the one you mentioned should be better.

Very useful page (not just for the battery info). Are you planning to install a battery in the battery-less model?
  11. dwl99's avatar
The charger is rated at 40W but the tablet spec says it needs 45W so it's interesting that it works at 40W. Although I'm a bit nervous about no-name Chinese chargers and the safety/fire risk.

there are all the things i purchased which work well enough

case: has a small pocket that can keep your powerbank there, but it will cover the flash light for the camera at the back.

    amazon.co.uk/gp/…h=1

pen/stylus: works well enough for writing, buttons dont work the best but palm rejection works. id recommend to look around to buy it at around £20

    lenovo.com/gb/…%2F

powerbank: works with the usb c out

    amazon.co.uk/gp/…6K7

usb c 100 w cable: right angled version

They do make this with a battery also.  Looking at some repair videos I’m pretty sure this is they battery from that version

though not sure if it’ll be missing some hardware and wouldn’t be straight forward.

Can it work with usb c montior, has it got some sort of desktop mode like Samsung dex. I bought it(64gb one), if works like that then good stuff

can confirm it does not work with my usb c monitor, does not work with my laptop usb c charger ( lenovo thinkbook yoga). it does work with my 45w power bank (omnicharge) and my samsung 45 w usb c pd charger.

    still a bargain (edited)

mine worked out with similar power banks to this aliexpress.com/ite…tml

the update is easy, USB-c wire (USB-C to USB if needed), rescue_and_smart_assistant_v6.6.3.17_prod_setup.exe, rescue tab, type serial number, check if is it the correct tablet, let it download 2.5GB file, turn tablet on, skip all that wifi etc, turn developer mode by clicking on build developer.android.com/stu…ons , let USB debugging, turn it off by button, get back to windows10 app, click there rescue button etc, click there more, more, plug tablet to USB with pressed power + volume down, let it update, finish everything on windows10, turn it on from power bank/PSU, setup, let it update everything from google shop.

it's slow but not that slow, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas works (but it likes to crash on high), GPS works, firefox with adblocker works, ips(?) viewing angles are average, speakers are "fine" (still can hear something) (edited)
    dwl99's avatar
This is doing my head in. I followed all the steps but the tablet looks unresponsive when connected to my PC and isn't detected by the Rescue app. One one occasion I managed to get it into fastboot mode but the PC still wouldn't connect. USB debugging is enabled. Do you hold down Power + Vol Down buttons before plugging in the USB cable and then release once connected? How long do you hold down the buttons?

EDIT - I just noticed a driver warning so the Lenovo app's driver doesn't seem to work with Windows 11 64 bit. Will try digging out my old lappy with Windows 10.50611483-Mx5ev.jpg (edited)

Mine is also working from a TeckNet powerbank 12v 1.5a
It didn't at first - it needed power button then went to " use correct 12v 3A charger" tried a couple of cables. Tried a cable that came with pixel 6a and it worked.
I guess it's more fussy about cable than amps

    Check and register/extend warranty
Someone kindly provided the link for the warranty, here it is: pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/…BAU

The person had about 2 months warranty left and managed to change the date of purchase, so got 12 months warranty. I've tried the same. Unfortunately, the warranty on mine expired on 15th July 2023. I've purchased the tablet on 14th and received it on 18th July. I've sent a request to Lenovo warranty to see if they can do anything.
So, if you want warranty, register it ASAP, it seems those were purchased about a year ago and their warranty ends sometimes in June, July or Aug.

EDIT - Warranty updated to 2024-07-13. Basically 1 year from the date I've purchased the tablet! (edited)
    camstop's avatar
I still think you should get it. They were sealed (new) units and my warranty was updated to 1 year from when I purchased the unit, and so should yours.
You should find out within one day I'd expect.

    Few Questions, if I may:
1*- what suitable car charger should I get? or any 12v converter, that would give enough of a very stable 10W (at 5V?) although it seems some people can get it working at 10W, some cant at 20W.

2*- How many USB-C's connections are there? ... (1- power supply); fitting to my truck (separate 12V system in a cab), I'd like to connect my dash and/or USB reverse cameras. Reverse is a MUST plain USB A, that converts to 4" monitor USB-micro, can be used with adaptor to USB-C to one tablet?

3*- Memory slot? up to 2TB, if it has one... meaning nano-SIM or nano-SIM AND SD?

    4*- ebay.co.uk/itm…976 For Lenovo Thinkpad X13 Yoga Gen 1 20SX 20SY 45W USB-C QC3.0 PD Adapter Charger .
Will it work? that'd be used for taking to home, to the office to transfer-print required info if no (3*)

5- (Case) mounting on either vertical surface or on a angle 45* would be needed, can anyone recommend one, that would be easy to attach/detach , disconnect/reconnect ? (that would be replacing my reverse cam display)

Accepted, it only has x1 USB-C, so my reverse USB compatible camera display will have to stay put, not connected to a Tab.

Unsure what chargers to get for the power bank…. Hoping, as it has two out rated at 45W(I presume at 5v) out and x2 rated at 100W in (presume at 20V) HOPING to have Power bank plugged in USB-C, whilst to have on constant charge on 12 charger… simultaneously????

    ebay.co.uk/itm…775

    ebay.co.uk/itm…382

Also, just don’t get those protocols what they mean for home charger. To me it seems like it requires 22.5W at 5v??? or at 20V??? as posted earlier some people managed to get it working with 5V 3A (~15W) so could someone sort out what exactly would be suitable please?

just not keen on them bigger ones, with a separate block types, but if must?
    ebay.co.uk/itm…066
    ebay.co.uk/itm…976

BUT if to get x2off these, I could be more or less sure they’ll be fine at home AND if to unplug fridge I got 220V (I think 3A mains socket “upstairs”)to plug in for permanent charging of the brick, that would power theTab.... (edited)

Looking at a hardware info app it reports that's it's charging a 0kwh internal battery and has a power profile of 7500 mAh so hopefully putting the battery linked a few posts up will work.

Surprised by how quick the boot time is, quicker than my Pixel 6 Pro.
    lysy201's avatar
Hi have you received any software update?
  25. dwl99's avatar
The power requirements seem very high for a tablet so I would imagine this will have quite hight running costs if left on 24/7
    Ashe's avatar
The power requirements have to be higher than a normal tablet because those can also fall back on the battery if it's running flat out using more power than the charger delivers.

Especially given it appears aimed at industrial purposes, where it could be critical it gets enough power, so probably a good safety margin.
  26. Fursty_Ferret's avatar
Received yesterday, fast dispatch and Royal Mail 24-hour postage. Only thing in the box is the tablet and SIM-tray tool as expected. Not brilliantly packaged if I'm honest (no bubble wrap etc), but it does mean that it fits through the letter box.

Tablet is fine. Mediatek CPU is painfully slow so the extra RAM is neither here nor there. It works for my plan as a Home Assistant display for the solar panels / battery on the house.

Can confirm that it won't get Android 12. You will, of course, keep getting Google Play updates which include security fixes.

Overall, very impressive for £35. (edited)

    Working well so far.

Was surprised the 2x Lenovo laptop chargers I tried didn't work with it. An old Anker PD charger came to the rescue.

I now have the tablet stuck to the wall next to my desk with 4x Command Strips.

Using it to control my Hue lights and also to view various Ring devices around the house. Also Kasa, Hive, Eero etc.

At £34.99 it was cheaper than a Google Home Hub and offers more flexibility.
