Bought one on Monday, replaced my old Samsung series Chromebook, for my needs it's fine, browsing, office and edited my first video last night, only 1080p mind, battery lasts a good few hours, screen is HD and sharp, has hung once or twice with premier Pro but other than that I'm happy

I didn't buy them so don't know exact change but the HDD was just under £40 and the stick of RAM just over £60. Both from Amazon.

How much did you pay for this in the January sales?. As this particular Lenovo Yoga Laptop has been yo-yoing back and forth at this price (give or take £20 either end). (As did a different version of this Lenovo Yoga Laptop I bought last year did too ... ) So far they appear to have held their price well.

I didn't buy them, my sister-in-law so don't know exact change but the HDD was just under £40 and the stick of RAM just over £60. Both from Amazon.

Good piece . I bought one last week. Same speck’s on black £499. Is fast for easy tasking 5 hours on battery life on constant use. Worth the money. If you need extra ram plenty to chose from .8)

Yes, its should now be refered to as HD (2010)

Damn, I briefly thought when I saw HD in the description that this was a great deal for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 plus. I keep forgetting that a 1280 x 800 screen resolution is still considered high definition.

I only ever update when it will fix a significant problem. I had to reflash kitkat onto my current S4 as the Lollipop developed a crippling problem where the gps would just drain the battery no matter what. Even a factory reset would not fix it. Also running a nexus 7 (2012) and reading the problems would never update that to lollipop as it seems to just kill it completely. Might eventually flash my S4 with the latest Cyanogen ROM (or with whatever Cyanogen is called now) but don't really see the need. I think I have found one (absolutely terrible) app that I assume won't run because it is on android 4.4

This is a fantastic tablet, recently bought 2 (1 each) and they do everything we need, they are quick, battery life is brilliant and if you just need what a budget tab will do.. Buy one at this price,

I’d rather have the choice of updates than none. There was 2 minor updates in the life of my tablet. I can’t believe that the covered all the necessary security updates.

Thanks for this - I got one from a store even though it is out of stock on-line.

It can only use turbo boost for a couple of seconds then throttles to base speed of 1.8ghz.

How do you mean?

I was interested until I read the review regarding throttling the cpu.

I have the 920 of this version and love its versatility and means I dont have to use the Ipad any longer so Ebay here we come :)

Agreed. Very impressed with the quality and the digital keyboard works extremely well. I haven't sat drawing for years but have with this and really enjoyed it. I never use the paper for digital capture of notes...too much faff to me and for <£30 you can but a reusable smart note pad that is better for meetings. If you buy a case they all restrict the ability to fold the keyboard all the way round and under the screen. I would like to see someone develop a two part case to help with this. This is a hot price for what i think is a great tablet (over 12 months use from me)

I've got this and it's super fast and has a really nice build quality. Especially good if you're into doing some art....shame I've lost all my teenage artistic talent now (fierce)

Hi, it's 179928 8)

What’s the 6 digit product code on this? It’s on the price ticket but I can’t make it out!

Suppose it's store specific and a clearance tag (yellow label), hence the price.

Yes, unfortunately 1GB ram does not cut the mustard these days, 2Gb minimum IMO. Stutters and freezes will make it a pain to use day to day so it will quickly end up at the back of a drawer. Best saving your money to invest in a device with a longer useful life.

I've run into issues on my Yoga Tab 3 being unable to download iPlayer content for offline viewing. Also heard others struggling with Amazon prime. Great tablet but running out if road for media on a commute.

Ya my partners boy had the smaller older version of this battery was amazing and did him well for ages (prob still would if they would update the software)

Yeah. Got two of these for the kids... great

I prefer the design of these yoga ones with the built in stands and good battery life. And for me the ram is fine for casual internetting...

Aye the touchpad is a little sensitive and takes some getting used to. I use a mouse 90% of the time anyway. Not noticed any issues with the screen personally, but I tend to use mine in low light so maybe it's just not affecting me in the same way. You can switch the Fn keys back to traditional mode in the BIOS, which will mean F2 works as you're used to and you'd press Fn+F2 to change the volume etc. The biggest problem is getting into BIOS in the first place because it boots so fast, haha. Follow this guide: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/access-bios-windows-10 Once in the BIOS, disabled hotkey mode, save and exit.

For Warranty Upgrade: Log in https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/ and click top right then My Products then Upgrade Extend Warranty. You pay then they send you a link to submit your serial number, receipt etc. You select your laptop model - there was no option for Yoga which is why it wasn't working. Selected another model and worked a treat.

Get dealGet deal

I have one of these. Purchase as refurbished from Argos about a year ago and the bonus as it came with a 500gb hard drive and superior processor for just £104.95. The panel is not that bad to be honest when vied straight on. The Linx as mentioned above is a good price. Just hope its more reliable than their tablet attempts. In reality though it is not the same thing. The linx is a laptop only compared to the one posted which is a 2 in 1 so may be used in tablet format or tent format. These features comes in pretty handy. If all you need is a laptop then go for the linx but get the extended warranty. You may just need it. The processor in the item posted is poor, only scoring 992 on benchmark and even at half this price would not be on my shopping list. It is about one of the slowest available today

Rather give this a go..

Not on a £200 machine it's not, no!

Screen is fine for the price, it's the CPU that holds this back.

Terrible value with that spec list. Only the screen and battery are decent, rest is old tech and below average performance for doing anything slightly taxing. Additionally it's oos and reduced to clear, not likely to be restocked since it's an old model that's over a year old.

I have the i3 version of this with the ssd ( bought it off an earlier deal on here ). Bought it so I could browse my work excel and office docs with baby in sling :-). The tablet feature is pretty good tbh. My MiL wanted one and I got her this one with the bigger 1tb drive and strangely it cost more than mine. The difference between them is night and day literally. Ssd is essential. They are amazing little machines for the money but you definitely need to upgrade to ssd (lightning quick boot up) and maybe up the ram - lots of how to on youtube. This one does have backlit keyboard though.

Cheapest so far.....good spec., good deal for this 2 in 1. Let's have the nay sayers now. :p

Crap specs for the money

It's not rubbish but whatever, but yes the screen resolution is the only reason I don't have one of these in my hand right now.

So in other words it's still rubbish. Its still a Pentium chip which in your words is a slower i3. Yes I get it's the higher Pentium chip but my point was the chip and screen res are not great.

I had exactly the same, paying a premium for a 2 in 1 with a touchscreen. There’s net books with ancient spec for £300 or what you really want for £750... I ended up biting the bullet and got the Dell 2 in 1 on CyberMonday for £599. I posted a deal for it ... but it’s long gone now... Maybe try looking on their website (15% off atm I think) or the Dell outlet is sometimes good.

There a Pentiums and Pentiums, this is a Pentium Gold 4415U which is a proper Kaby Lake chip making it essentially a very slightly slower i3 and nothing like the Atom based Apollo Lake Pentiums like the N4200 which will be known as Pentium Silver going forward.

Everyone talking about the laptop.... I got the cheap desktop at the very end and I was hoping to get some validation in here about it. Would it have been better to go for the 599 model instead? guys I had the 710 version which I returned as the fan noise was unbearble, I hear this has the same problem and as of yet there's no fix.

Curry’s may be cheaper but you don’t get the 2 year warranty. I did originally go to curry’s to hunt around but found the staff to be entirely useless and spouting only stuff they read off of labels, with zero knowledge .of the products. When I asked to compare two laptops by weight that varied in price by £400 they told me it was impossible as they were on different counters. when spending almost 1k on a laptop you’d think they would try and help a bit more.

Not cheap but seems like a good spec and build quality. Your deal seems pretty good deal too, I’d post it separately as that would’ve been a good consideration. Guess you get what you pay for with new tech. The old 710 seems to be on offer at sub £700. Could’ve gone with a £200 dell refurb which would’ve been bullet proof and lasted 5 years plus. Yes much better value but nowhere near as nice. Really wanted something modern and sleek as my daughter had a special birthday and wanted something particular.

By the way at currys should be cheaper https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-yoga-720-14ikb-14-2-in-1-grey-10164819-pdt.html Also £899 but you can use code WINDOWS10 for an extra 10% Edit: it’s 128gb version at currys, but for some people might work better for £89 less
