I would second this. The customer support can be easily described as the most evasive and consumer hostile I've ever encountered. I've spent >2 months trying to get the poor battery life on my S740 fixed. It gets at most 1/3 what the advertised runtime is(4hrs, instead of 11). I've spent the last 2 weeks hammering every channel of communication simply to get any response from them. Emailing, web forms, forums, Facebook, WhatsApp (every time they give me the telephone number and hang up on me). They just literally completely ignore me. The only time I get any response is when I telephone them, and they say "yep, we'll collect it". Then nothing happens, and I spend weeks trying to chase them for any info or update. It took 3 attempts to get the thing collected. I'd reached the point of filing a PayPal dispute case, and wonder if this is why they actually collected this time.. Couple this with the first few weeks of trying to explain (in great detail) to the support person that the advertised runtime is supposed to be when it is being lightly used. He was trying to convince me that the 11 hour battery life is for when the laptop is shutdown (yes, really). He even (apparently) escalated it to an engineer, who supposedly "confirmed" what he thought. So now I'm expecting them to throw it back at me and say "it's fine". It seems Lenovo have outsourced their support to far east (eg India), and the support personnel seem to have found a way to game the system to boost their performance metrics by simply ignoring customers. I can't even find out how to make a complaint! No one will tell me! So yeah, buyer beware. I wouldn't touch Lenovo with a barge pole.
How does this compare with The Lenovo Yoga C640 (i7 \ 8GB \ 512GB SSD \ 13.3" fullHD) on offer at Costco for £684? Worth the extra for the processor and SSD upgrade?
That's alright then, just know alot of them have had long order times
This laptop ships in 1-2 business days, mine arrived within 3 days of ordering
Terrible customer service but a good deal if you don't mind the risk and you will be lucky if you get this by the end of July, if it says 6 weeks delivery it's more like 3 months
