Like mine but the lack of long term updates from lenovo has put me off anything more of theres

Excellent for digital drawing/painting

I heard windows struggles with the limited hardware. I have an android version, and it's great for work. Particularly meetings, editing docs etc. The hdmi output is great for presentations on the fly. But it struggles with much more.

No most Android tablets/books from all manufacturers are never updated. Only phones from reputed manufacturers are updated. Lenovo are one of the better ones.

Cold. Only 10 inch screen. They don't update Android. Buy touch screen Chromebook instead. Chromebook is always updated (for 2-3years till hardware becomes obsolete) and most Android apps work on it hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-refurbished-15-inch-touchscreen-chromebook-4gb-dual-usb-c-full-hd-laptops-direct-239-97-3187604

I bought one of these with the newer 8th gen cpu. Unfortunately it developed a display fault where the screen would start rapidly blinking and go very dim. We sent it back to Lenovo for repair in December but I think they have "lost" it. Their customer service is pretty dreadful - no proactive communication, leaving it to the customer to chase for updates, and they don't get back to you when they promised. On that basis, whilst the Yoga 720 laptop is nice while it is working okay, I don't recommend getting a Lenovo due to the poor reliability and customer service I have experienced so far.

The one you linked to is the same price and onlyhas a 128Gb drive, so it’s swings and roundabouts

Yes, it is! If you really want that one then be my guest, it's only £700 for more than a 2 year old dual core processor, when you can get the latest quad cores for more than less in a similar slim package.

Different machine

Basically any other 2 in 1 laptop that's 8th gen or Ryzen. This is an awful price for a dual core xD This is the first on my Google search: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-envy-x360-13-3-amd-ryzen-5-2-in-1-128-gb-ssd-grey-10180769-pdt.html?store=2854&&istCompanyId=bec25c7e-cbcd-460d-81d5-a25372d2e3d7&istItemId=-xwawaptpxi&istBid=t&srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~1011+(PLA)+AMD+Laptops~1011+(PLA)+AMD+Laptops+ad+group~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&kwid=GOOGLE&device=m&ds_kids=92700039112580757&tgtid=1011+(PLA)+AMD+Laptops&gclsrc=aw.ds&&&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwc7jBRD8ARIsAKSUBHJreuzP89Y-uRciSXA1FAdl88aRlg_nhmPJDjn5n6T6ecL2Zn249yQaAsbsEALw_wcB

It is usable if you have spefific narrow scope of use. Like I attach to a USB £260 worth of car management , fault code reset tool. However, with 4GB memory, it is OK for surfing with multi-tabs and youtube plus mail and office. Edit. Though £160 is a bit steep for narrow scope of use, because I paid ~£80 for an Argos refurb 2-in-1 Acer with 2GB but 64GB storage,

"Window 10 for Ease of Use" I think I've just spotted Treasona May's other employment. It's the lies that gave her away.

This may well have an m2 slot but need to find details online for this exact model to see what’s inside. The 310 can be bought in various specs so it might be possible to add more storage to this

Totally agree with the comments on the lack of storage at 32gb eMMC for Win 10 , I once got a well reviewed HP Stream that even when I deleted what I could , didnt even have the necessary space free at the time to run an "essential" nagged for Win 10 update - and that was a day after purchase, virtually straight out of the box! Went back to Argos for a full refund. Imagine it was a gift, would you pfaff about with an external drive to update , assuming you had one. There is talk of MicroSoft developing a kind of Windows" Lite" for varied devices which may have a smaller footprint but til then, these devices are not worth it, even reduced.

Bought this years ago, as a display to show further portfolio and play 4k vou deos. It's the perfect tablet for a photographer/videographer to show an extended portfolio/full galleries on. Battery awesome too. Had it full brightness always on at a wedding fayre for 8 hours playing video and at the end still had like 50% battery. Still one of the few tablets compatible with stuff like fm touch as well. Not the latest spec or fastest, but great 2.5k display, surprising good quality sound for a tablet (better than most laptops) and not too expensive.

Yep, running Android 8.1 (LineageOS).

Yup. One of the best value tablets of the recent years and still is. excellent sound, screen, battery, processing power. I bet none of those who manage to snap one for £169.99 have any complaints..

Those of you that have complained about lack of recent 'Android version' have tended to either ignore, or overlook this above comment?. As it shows/mentions 'options' ... But whether anyone wants to actually venture down that route or not is a whole different argument in itself, lol.

I do a lot of marking up of drawings on PDFs and it seems great for that on the 2nd gen. much easier on the flat than an upright monitor. But yes, I’ve read the reviews who all say like you that the keyboard just doesn’t work. I guess a Surface may be more suitable.

I wouldn't bother, like the previous guy said the keyboard is beyond useless. It's like typing on a touchscreen as you have no clue where the keys are as there is no physical feel to them. Except it's worse as you keep looking at the keyboard instead of the screen and then realise all of your mistakes. It's like typing on a large touchscreen.... Which at that point you realise you might as well be typing on the screen and you then realise the whole thing is pointless.

This is not a usually laptop. The keyboard can act as a touch screen and you can write on it (with a special pen and pad). This version didn’t really work but it was a nice try from Lenovo. Looks amazing. There is a Windows version too which is much more useful but equally flawed. The newer 2nd gen seems better as the ‘keyboard’ has a e-ink display and you can mark up PDFs or draw on it unlike this. Still, the keyboard is flat. I quite fancy one tho.

Got one of these the keyboard is useless

Ram is 45 pounds and ssd 20-30 pounds.

the yoga 510 is very decent in terms of build quality, the CPU however is horrible, be advised.

Around £100 from Crucial for 8GB RAM & 250GB SSD. You could shave that a fair bit with a smaller SSD or lesser brand. Mine shipped with a 120GB SSD & as long as you're sensible, that's plenty. MyMemory have Integral 120GB SSDs for £19 or 240GB for £28.

Thanks, how much would the 8 stick cost? - Are we looking at £100+ to make this 8gb plus a (small) ssd?

Yes subject to the penny pinching production, which means there's only one slot. So you have to buy 8GB instead of 4 & then find the 4GB is virtually worthless because no one wants it.

I have the earlier 10" yoga tablet which has been very good but now won't run many modern apps as Lenovo don't support it with updates. As I understand it their support for updates is extremely limited altogether (their website still talks of 4.2 as the latest android system....) I'm after a new tablet and this is an excellent price but because of this policy I'm reluctantly going to pass on this and chose a different manufacturer.

I bought a Huawei, then realised they don't allow SD cards to used as internal storage for apps. They actively removed the functionality from their operating system.

I like the screen & sound on my TAB3 Plus ... the tablet's format is excellent for table & kitchen top usages. But I find it's a bit heavy for sofa surfing.

Have the Yoga 2, 2gb 32gb. The stand design is excellent which just makes it more versitile. Has been a great device for travel & media, still going strong after a few years use. Shame the android version on it is so dated.

Good battery life and a nice video playback device. But not the most robust tablet, the earlier versions were infinitely better in terms of build quality.

Thank you guys! Went to buy this in currys yesterday but hung back until I could check HUKD and you didn’t let me down!

At the time you posted this deal, eBay had a 15% off code (£50 max discount) which was eligible on this item. It has sadly now expired.

Actually I did buy it from the eBay store - and it was still £399. How did you get it quoted as £349? Debated whether to send it back in favour of that Acer Spin 5 but the battery life on the AMD Lenovo is quoted as 8 hours whilst it's only 6 on the Intel Acer.

A Ryzen 5 would be better for games, the price might come back down again near Christmas. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-ideapad-330s-156-amd-ryzen-5-laptop-256-gb-ssd-grey-479-currys-3111227

It's not a Phone?. So Android 6.0 - 7.0 on this (for the here and now anyway), is more than sufficient, I'd have thought?. :-) As for your 10.1 inch screen comment, again, it's an Android Device, so what do you expect?. In the UK at least, Android Tablet's rarely traditionally break the 10.6 inch ratio ... If you want more than that for an Android Tablet (eg. 11.1 inches, and/or 11.6+ inches, etc?), then my best bet for you is to go wayyyyyy over to either China, and/or to the 1 of the numerous Chinese site's that also ship to hear too like? (eg. GearBest, BangGood, FocalPoint, LightInTheBox, etc etc etc?). Yep, lol. ;-)

It seems Lenovo could have done more with this idea. There's not really a current refresh of this machine, so have they abandoned the idea? I know foldable screens are just on the horizon, so it could be a redundant purchase unless you fully use the drawing to digital conversion feature. If you need a portable digital etch-a-sketch - I guess this is the machine for you. It's a funky idea, but will you use it? Could be useful for illustrations, an architect drawing out concepts, a fashion student. It's effectively a digital Carbon Copy sheet. Would you want to type on that thing for more than 10 minutes. Prod prod prod - nah, can't see that happening. Otherwise it's £300 for a tablet to watch films on. Battery life's good. The fact that QVC are selling it, could be that there's mountains of stock that they can't get rid of, and they're trying to sell to less tech aware customers.
