    If you don't have any tools with a battery platform yet then this is a really good way to start. The 3 X 4ah batteries are interchangeable with other DeWalt 18v tools.

    As for the impact driver itself they are very good and a proven good model.

    If you've never had an impact driver before, you will wonder how you ever managed without.

    Screw fix are doing a deal on the dewalt combi and impact with 2 batteries, toolbox and charger for 199 inc VAT - thought I’d add as relevant

    That kit doesn't compare to this . This is i believe their top impact driver and ofcourse 3 x 4a batteries . Not 3a batteries as with screwfix

    I actually prefer this tool with the 2Ah batteries fitted. I have a selection of batteries (2/4/5 Ah) but the 2Ah on this makes it lighter and more compact. I put in 150 x 70mm screws with one 2Ah battery that wasn't fully charged....good price for that kit though, I paid a tenner less with 2 x 2Ah batteries/case/charger a couple of years back.

    Has anyone tested the opening torque on car wheel nuts? I bought a parkside driver from Lidl (300nm opening torque) and it couldn't open anything.
