Saw this at Costco. Appears to be a £300 reduction compared to other retailers.

It does not have mini-led (despite what it says on the product page at Costco) or the zen 4 cpu and the 4060 is mid tier. However, to get those specs maxed out it’s another £1300…and you still don’t get mini led as that is ONLY on the 4090 model. (Costco have the 4080 non mini led model for £2699 which is a big discount on the rrp of £3299).

Might be useful to someone who is really into portable gaming with deep pockets.

I think that everyone is missing the point of having a 14" with gaming capabilities as well as good PORTABILITY + QUALITY.
Whilst it is true that other gaming laptops are less pricey and have more power overall, they're a bulkier build and thus less portable.

You can pick up a few diffent brand new RTX 4070 laptops on eBay from around £1200-£1300, cant really say this is hot in comparison. (edited)

Voted hot because it was £1899 in May and then went to £1790, don't know afterwards. Eventually I went for the Legion Slim7i 8th gen rtx 4060 via Lenovo EDU for £1470 with Intel 13700h. This Zephyrus was my 2nd choice (well actually the 2022 version for £900ish which was never arriving and then cancelled was the deal of the century but didn't happen so I was fed up of waiting). On 2nd thoughts,I'm glad I went for the Legion for the build quality alone, worth its 400ish grams of added weight and 240hz 500 nits screen and TB4..and everything so far!

That said, this is hot for the price and deserves more heat...don't worry,it's July afterall

I've got the 2021 model, which was a bargain open-box purchase for £700. You can tell it's a premium laptop as everything is really solid and good-looking, especially the Animatrix panel. The speakers are bassy enough to watch movies and even play some background music on a caravan holiday.

One significant downside - it gets really loud and hot quickly if you switch to gaming or other intensive workload. And I mean hot to the point where you can't touch anywhere outside of the keyboard, unless you enjoy burn pain.

Hopefully they've addressed that with this model.

I think there was a design change from the 2021, the 2022 onwards had a 16:10 screen and modified internals. Ultrabookreviews has some details.

Why do they ship expensive gaming laptops with 512gb SSDs sigh.

Legions are better value then this with a 4060.

Do they do a 14” version? Thought it was only 16.

looking to sell my Legion 5 for one of these
Anyone know wheres the best place to sell laptops? Ebay im worried about getting scammed

I've sold a few on eBay and never had an issue. Just be careful and be prepared to walk away from any buyer that seems even a little dodgy.

Holding off until prime day, although I suspect in some way it’s going to be a total flop for gaming laptops.

Keep flipping back and forth between this and an Alienware x14. Anyone have experience of both?

Sort of assuming there will be some x14 r1 bargains to be had when the x14 r2 is available in the UK.
