sorted byIn this instance, GDI is an acronym for Gasoline Direct Injection.
An EV should be costing you about a 3rd on fuel compared to petrol/diesel, but costs can spiral with insurance.
Average mileage is around 7000miles per year for the UK, costing £1100 on petrol, £350 on electric.
It would take you 8.5 years to recoup £6000. (edited)
I'm only putting this up because the basic Kia Niro, with it's 1.6 GDI engine averaged 56.3 mpg on the motorway & 57.7 mpg through central London. These numbers are within a spit & a gob of what Kia claim for this Xceed.
After doing a bit of number crunching, I concluded that the cheapest Niro made the most economic sense. Any fuel savings you get from the EV are swamped by the extra depreciation you would incur from the £8.5k price premium. Put another way, £8.5k buys you 74,000 miles worth of petrol!
Anyways, here's the link...

Just note that the silver colour shown in the pictures on cazoo is much darker in real life, it’s more a shiny grey than a straight silver. I personally was happy with this but some may not be.
14k was also my max budget and it seems like cars have just risen in cost so much from when I got my last car, there not that much choice unless your getting into the 20k range.
We paid extra for the Red premium colour, which annoyingly is now standard colour. This was approximately £21500 all in. Obviously can't comment on ownership, but was very impressed on test drive with local dealer.
(decent as in reasonable HP and not taking 17-18s to 60)
