sorted byBe aware that these mice and a lot of other logitech gaming mice have a rather limited life span than most due to the omron switches that Logtech uses in their products.
The most common issue and symptom with failing (or failed) mice with these is a thing known as 'double clicking' where single mouse clicks will register as double clicks. You can google 'Logitech Double Click' or 'Logitech Double Clicking' and you'll find endless of hits about the same issue dating back years. The issue is well documented and Logitech are very aware of it but still choose to use the same switches that dont last very long.
There are guides online and youtube that teach you how to replace switches that is fairly straight forward and easy to do if you have the right tools, but its a bit of faff to have to deal with and having done it. Id rather not bother doing it again and just pick a mouse I know that doesnt come with the rubbish switches. Every major gaming brand would have used or still use the same omron switch so Logitech isnt the only one guilty of building sub par products.
There are a few nerdy tech websites that review gaming mice and do a tear down to see what the manufacturers use to build their mice and these sites are always a handy resource.

If i had to recommend something for the same money. Id much prefer the newer G502 X mice which use a sort of hybrid optical/laser switch and in theory should last longer and not fall to the double clicking issue but the G502 X is still far too new to know if it suffers from the same issue.
Prices for the G502 X vary but are roughly around the same ball park depending on the version at hand. There are wired and wireless versions and the wireless versions will cost roughly around £20-30 more than the non-wired which should be priced very closely to the older Lightspeed variant listed here.
I have had two logitech mice fall to the double clicking issue so I'll do a more in depth research of something I buy before parting with my cash.
Your milleage may vary. (edited)
I think that Razer mostly use optical switches. Don't quote me though. The one I bought definitely does but it's quite high end.
My G305 developed the double-click issue after around two years of ownership of mostly light use. I had to replace the switches myself as it was out of warranty.
The G502 is said to be using the same switches and many others have had the same problem so be warned. My G502 was bought back in May 2022 and still has no issues after daily use for work nearly every day. I'm hoping it lasts me a while longer before I have to replace the switches on these as well. Logitech support have generally got a positive reception to issues occuring within the warranty period, though.
Please can you let me know where can I buy the switch from ? so I can try to replace it
Thanks for any help ive been after a new wireless gaming mouse
Edit: Just had a deeper look and it looks like it doesnt have bluetooth and is a rechargeable battery (micro usb connection) (edited)
Having next/prev tab, back/forward open in new tab, close etc all on the mouse makes productivity stuff so much faster.
As others have said its very comfy ... has its own app where you can easily change DPI settings etc
- The MX Master 3c is really nice but it is a productivity focused mouse. I use an lesser MX Master for my work and it is lovely with creative tools.
- The G502 is a good gaming mouse. I use one of these to game with - mostly RPGs not FPS (though atm on my old Corsair Ironclaw while this arrives to replace the one I spilt a drink over. Good mouse useless battery time and switches fail easily)
