    Got mine this morning, very nice!

    I used the self scan in Tesco, required assisstant to okay it, which took a few seconds, but worked fine.

    It's only £1 in Asda.
    Will the voucher take £1.85 off the bill, or more likely, an assistant has to manually enter the amount?

    You can try to get something else alongside with the coffee and try to go through self checkout to see if it works. If not, then an assistant can enter it manually but they usually only enter the actual cost of the product so quite likely they will put £1 but you can then just refuse the other product and say you just take the coffee.

    cheers OP, got one at my local tesco

    used self scan, pressed “coupons”, assistant called because the machine asks you to insert the coupon but it’s digital

    When that happens you just show something (anything) to the coupon slot and the sale goes through. Have had a Tesco employee show me that by waving a piece of paper in the slot then putting it back in his pocket

    Exactly! ASDA just don't even bother with them. They look at it and say "nah, we don't accept them". There's probably a way for them to do it, but they either a, don't know how, or b, know how but don't want the hassle.

    Wouldn't bother with asda. U less you see a comment t that said it worked there. Only thing that works there is the free coke drink when they do it.

    Tried it in my local Tesco (also shown on the map of this deal), but cashier refuses to take this coupon, said it sa "fake"
    So I don't know how to use it..

    Start recording on your phone, ask for a manager, and refuse to leave without your £1 free coffee. 
    Then post it here

    I have just tried at Tesco express, it works.. however you need to pay 80 pence ! Asda might be best option... Heat added.

    They wouldn't let me use a digital voucher in Asda today. It scanned on the self service but then gets removed when you go to pay. And staff said and checked with others saying you could not use a digital voucher they wouldn't accept them and had never seen them before, very odd!

    Mine expired today - despite getting a text yesterday saying I had 2 days to redeem it. I had previously worked out it was due to expire on 24th, so didn't bother checking again. I would have redeemed it last week if my local Asda stocked these. Knew I would be passing a Tesco Extra today, managed to find the right-size versions in there (they had the larger ones with the lunch meal deals) and let the casher scan everything through, then went to activate the coupon...and was told on the screen it had expired. Needless to say, I asked her to remove it from the bill. What a joke!!

    Last time round (I think) wasn’t able to find any places that sold and accepted these - pass a few on way to work. Their store locator is a waste of time. Did others who used this just go to the stores anyway?

    I tried to redeem this in ASDA but because the coupon was valued at £1.60 and they had the product on offer at £1 they would not accept it.

    My understanding is that it works at Tesco’s using the self service till > coupons > assistant. Doesn’t work at Asda because there’s a £1 offer anyway which probably interferes with the t&cs (edited)

    Yes I tried to combine with the VFC chicken wing offer. It takes them off at self service but then asks for coupons and staff unable to process them as they don't have physical coupons. I tried at tobacco kiosk and no luck there either they told me they'd expired! Bloody waste of time and all you do is cause confusion and embarrassment and a huge queue of disgruntled customers behind you!! 😡

    Tried at two tescos in walthamstow, it worked, the third one near Trafalgar Square did not work, saying the cupon it's expired, and the same story at tesco Westminster. (edited)
