These oscillating multi tools are always a bit of a disappointment, they take ages to go through anything. Only really useful for doing edge work

They are not designed for ANYTHING, they are designed for SOMETHING when other things can't do it.

I've got this one and it's probably one of my most used tools. Get a good tooth saw blade and cut though most things with ease.

I paid £81 for it about a year ago. (edited)

Good deal. I bought one of these used recently for about £65. Very handy for small jobs like scraping, although it is quite noisy (I think they all are though). This one is interesting because the head rotates to different angles, unlike most other brands. I use it with a Makita battery and adapter, works fine.

What adapter do you have and where did you get that?

Good price, I paid £86 for this on offer at Amazon last year, normally around £100

Bought this from amazon the other week to replace my failed corded Aldi multi tool.

I noticed how much quieter it is and seems more powerful. Also it being cordless make it so much easier for those small job if you need it for a few seconds.

    so far a great tool.

Would this work for nibbling through tree roots that I'm digging up? Awkward acces as up against a fence

Recip saw with a 6 inch blade would be better for that.

You can push recip saw blades into the dirt and cut lower, it wont kill the blade like it would a chainsaw. (edited)
