I saw these somewhere and they looked pretty cool. I imagine you will get Chinese knockoffs very soon for a fraction of the price.

L-Twoo have just done that, at half the price too.

However, once you go electronic, you will never go back

I did! 10s Ui2. Just could not get on with it in gloves. Went back to Campag mechanical and still on it a decade later.

    NB not a Luddite.

Always been a shimano fan on road but having run rival/gx axs in my gravel bike I think I’d 💯 go Sram axs over 105di2

    100% agree

Electric makes sense but why combine with discs?

It's an MTB product for a road bike.

    Laughable really.

There’s definitely something laughable about this

Pity there are only compact chainrings options. Thumbs up still!

That's pain in the ass. I used to have 30/46 with 11-34t cassette. I've never used the lowest 3-4 gears. Simply to low for me, game starts at 1:1.

This is a hell of a deal, yes this groupset weighs a tonne compared to an old rim brake setup but atleast you get faultless shifting and braking in return.

For most, dropping a few pounds of weight would negate any increase.

Also, if you’re not regularly riding in very hilly areas, weight isn’t as much of an issue and an Aeron position will gain you some good speed and counteract the extra weight too

    Must resist here too

Can i adjust what chainset and cassette combination I have?
    Is there any limitations?
    Thanks

It's amazing why people will pay for bike bits, it really is.

Just to point out the Merlin have reduced the price of this groupset by £50.
