    Technically better than the 12 months for 25.99.
    50 days ultimate for every 3 month code, plus opportunity to enable and disable auto-renew to exploit extra months.

    Much much cheaper than paying for ultimate.

    buy 3 years? then either buy one month GPU or trial 14 days and convert into 2:3 .. right ?
    I done it before and was straightforward.. 3 years Gold. bought one day GPU, they asked me if I want to convert which I did. I think this is how happened?
    so my guess will be same too this time once I buy one month ? how about 14 days trial.. ? is that 100% assured ? how u get that 14 days trial?

    I did the conversion earlier this week, the 14 day trial for £1 was offered when I went to convert and worked fine. I also got 2 months of gold for free for turning on recurring billing - some people managed to get one for each gold code they entered, so in that case you'd need to put in 9 3-month codes and would get 9 months free, taking you to the 3 year limit. As I only got 2 months free, I just bought a couple more 3-month codes after to take me to 3 years gold/2 years GPU.

    Also, just to add, the 3:2 conversion is if you don't currently have a GPU subscription. If you do, then you get 50 days GPU instead of 60 days from each 3 month code. (edited)

    Can only get the free month for recurring payment on the first code.. offer disappears for the next code after turning off the recurring payment .. I am doing this via microsoft.com.. is that the right way.. or should I be doing this via xbox. thanks

    Free month for recurring is hit and miss some people get it each time others don't, some may get it once, some not at all. Doesn't matter where you redeem it.

    My GPU expires in November. Am I best topping up to 2026 with these now or waiting it until it expires? I was going to do the latter but with the changes coming in September, I think I am best topping up to 2026 now?

    Yeah top up now, not a massive difference. You'll get 50 days per code now or if you wait you'll get 60 days per code

    Hey everyone. Need some advice.

    I have no ultimate or live anymore. With games coming out and I’m guessing this is going to be the best deal now, I’m looking to get the max from it which I’m guessing is 3 years.

    Had a look through the comments and the more I read the more I got confused lol.

    So if I want 3 years worth how many do I need to buy? I only ask because I’m unsure if:

    1. I buy them all then upgrade or
    2. do I use a code and then upgrade one at a time?

    So the conversion ratio from Gold to Gamepass Ultimate is now 3:2. So to get 12months of Gamepass Ultimate you need to purchase 18 months worth of Gold.

    So for the full 3 years you need buy 54 Months worth of gold which is 18 of these 3 month codes.

    To upgrade from Gold to Gamepass Ultimate you apply all of your Gold codes and then buy 1 month of Gamepass Ultimate and that will convert it at that 3:2 ratio.

    I just paid £58.29 for 11 codes (550 days of Game Pass Ultimate,) I found that the codes were a little bit cheaper (£5.29) on eneba.com using the discount code XBOXLIVE3 including the PayPal service fee.

    My Game Pass Ultimate subscription ran out today.

    I bought 12 Gold codes for £72 in total. Then a £8 code of Game Pass Ultimate for a month.

    The Gold codes put me up until 27th August 2026.

    Then when I put in the Game Pass Ultimate code it converted the Gold into Game Pass Ultimate until 27th September 2025 which is 25 months. Then it gave me another month for leaving on recurring billing which I then cancelled.

    So basically, £80 in total for 26 months of Game Pass Ultimate or in other words £3.07 a month.

    mine runs out the 3rd (fingers crossed everything still works then), can you do it the same day or do i need to leave it 24 hours? also may i ask where you purchased your GPU for £8 please? if from cdkeys would you kindly link as there seems to be a few different ones? thank you.

    e: also would it be ok to buy now, and redeem on the 3rd / 4th? or should i wait in case of an issue with the codes? (edited)

    Can confirm recurrent billing free month trick is random and won't work every time you add gold redemption.

    For me it worked on the first card I redeemed.

    When I turned off recurrent billing and tried to enter 2nd card it didnt prompt me for an extra month.

    So what I did was clear cache and logged out of Microsoft and waited a few minutes and retried and it worked for 2nd card.

    So I tried this same method on a 3rd card and this time it wouldn't work no matter what I did.

    So maybe there is a internal limit in the system that prevents more free months so not sure how people even got 9 free months.?

    They shouldn't expire, but it's hard to say what's going to happen in terms of conversion to Game Pass and such come September, as Microsoft are retiring Gold completely and replacing it with Game Pass Core, which is a new service that only offers a small selection of older games. It may or may not affect how these codes convert.

    When you redeem a code, it usually asks you if you want to enable auto-renew for an extra free month. Select yes.. Then after you can go into subscriptions & turn off auto-renew

    Oh wow, I just got an xbox I might need to do this. At £24 a year for gold, getting 3 years of that, you can get 2 years of game pass for £72.

    Edit: my game pass one month for £1 expires on 1st September , I need to wait until then to redeem the codes for the 3:2? Should I buy the codes today? (edited)

    Conversion now is 50 days if you still have GPU. 60 days if you convert (add a GPU code after you redeem all these)

    So if I only get 2 years Ultimate using 12 x 3 month codes... Ignoring free months for now... And I can only stack 3 years subscription, what happens if I try to redeem more codes to make my ultimate 3 years?
    As for the free months, how many can I get? 1 month free using all 12 is well 12 months. So only need 9 codes correct?

    You add the gold passes first, all of them. Then buy 1 month ultimate as cheap as possible, add that to the account. It will convert itself after that. It's best to get loads of gold passes. You have to do it in order.

    So I've just got my son 3 months Gold now if I purchased a month of ultimate game pass will that then stay on for the duration of my gold membership? He wants ultimate game pass so he play games and this Gold only allows him to play two games a month?

    No, if you add a three month gold to a GPU subscription it would only add 50 days of GPU membership, not 3 months
