One of my favourite parts of the world.

Lovely spring flights from Stansted to Hamilton, via Iceland.

Near Niagara Falls (the Canadian side is the best side!) and Toronto.

Don't know much about Fly Play, but expect budget.

Flights are around £230 - a few quid either side

My brother lived in Hamilton some years back and I visited him a few times, always flying to Toronto where my brother picked me up. I am surprised Hamilton Airport is doing transatlantic flights. Its an old steel city so if I was looking for somewhere nice to stay for a vacation, I would stay in Burlington which is only about 30 miles from this airport.

Agree. I’ve lived in Burlington, lovely town.

What’s the situation with a delay in the first flight that results in missing the connecting flight?

It's a through ticketed connection so you're covered

Anyone have judgements about these 'literal who' Airlines they want to share? Are they more likely to cancel or run shoddy planes or...?

    Fairly new fleet - planespotters.net/air…LAY

Just like any low cost airline, check their policies like luggage, food etc. They're similar to the old 'wowair' from Iceland. There's also no IFE, so bring an iPad or something.

But realistically, for the price of a return train ticket from London to Manchester, you're getting a return flight to Canada.

Some unknown company 9 months down the line, might have gone bust by then

Probably worth getting insurance and paying on a credit card

The name 'Play Airlines' doesn't give the greatest confidence.

If you're going to have an airline, name it after a Greek God or a titanium metal not a name that reminds you of a toddlers foam play toy.

Is this airline on the Play store?

Can't even take a normal carry on bag to put in the overhead lockers without paying to do so. Absolute bantz.

Yep.. it's like a ryanair service.

wow, just tried a couple of cheap dates. The taxes imposed are 60% of the total cost, including ‘carrier imposed fee’???

We flew Exeter to Hamilton about 15 years ago. No problems, Hamilton airport is fine, nice and easy to get through. I think it is ex military or commercial. Located just outside Toronto as others have said, not far off midway between Toronto and Niagara Falls.

We used flyplay last year to Boston.

Would use again when the price is right, loads of legroom on the Boston flights adiquate on the Stansted legs.

The flight back the layover airport food outlets closed, so stock up before leaving.

Loads of flight at roughly the same time where people swap from their Europe flight to the US/CA ones.

Bargain, but a long way from the other end of Toronto. Similar to landing in South Birmingham and going to London.

But, Buffalo, otherside of the border (get an Esta £20?) is great for shopping. (edited)

Shame as going at the beginning of April for the total eclipse, good price though.
