    prepare to be underwhelmed

lenovo hasn't made anything good since 2020 when they took a huge nosedive in quality control

    imho buy something else

Never had any issues with recent Lenovo's, we've got loads of 'em at work and they are just fine.

    Heat from me.

Be carful the 1080p screen option is a poor quality panel.
    xybp9's avatar
Lenovo always cheaps out on the panels. Makes the laptops unusable

I'd get this. But intel and a 60wh battery? Sounds like a disaster

I have no idea why anyone would really care about battery life on a gaming laptop. It’ll last long enough on battery when not gaming anyway. It’s not like anyone is carting it around as it’s big and heavy. Intel and AMD both have good low-load battery life.

Caution with Lenovo. Their engineers and customer service will do absolutely anything to get out of repairing under warranty, even lying about their own terms and conditions to try and trick people into paying for repairs they are responsible for.

They're supposed to be a reputable brand but their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in the industry.

buy with credit card? 6 years any issues let CC deal with it?

Computer novice and Dad post alert-how does this compare with a MacBook Pro M2?
My son needs a high spec laptop for a photography degree and they recommend a M2 or comparable windows machine.

This will easily be powerful enough but it doesn't have a good enough screen for photo work. Go for a laptop with better colour gamut unless he'll be using an external monitor.

you can get Win11 Pro for pennies via allkeyshop.com - buyer beware, obvs.

That's incredibly good value, great deal 🔥🔥🔥

If you upgrade the screen to WQHD and ram to 16GB it's £843.48 for anyone willing to spend. It's still a decent buy compared to other RTX 4060 laptops out there, would definitely choose this.

i was looking at these the other day but once you configure to those spec prices are in range with the 16i model, when you configure that its close to the slim 5 16" prices (edited)

Looks pretty decent for just over £800 with 16gb ram. It should perform like this plus 3-5 fps due to screen recorder loss. Heat

    £673 with 16gb of ram?

    Screen is abysmal.
    boobyfetish's avatar
You're referring to the stock screen? They offer an upgrade 1440p option which i think might be worth it.
  13. boobyfetish's avatar
Anyone knows if the 170w power adapter caps performance for i7 4060 setup? I imagine there is a reason for the 230w option (edited)
    loverboy21's avatar
Yes it will. if you are going for the RTX 4060 option do not cheap out on the power supply not worth it for the extra cost.
  14. Jean54's avatar
Very cheap, with edu account maybe even cheaper (edited)
