    Lovely looking watch but bare in mind the movement is not something many watch makers will want to fix so once out warranty any service or repair and you are better just buying an entire new movement. Plastic cased movement is the issue.

    The PRX movement is based on the ETA C07.111 so it shouldn't prove to be expensive if the whole movement needed replacing. Plus its the pallet fork and escapement wheel that's made of plastic but the movement could be replaced with the C01 metallic pallet fork ETA C07.611 (no plastic parts) or the ETA C07.811 (no plastic parts and silicium hairspring) I would imagine. The replacement can be done by any competent watchmaker.

    Perfect timing? Not this watch. You'll be lucky if it strays less than a minute a fortnight.

    Good for those who like to tell their watch the time.

    Hot for the 35mm variant which has only recently been released.

    The advantage of the powermatic movements which will just be swapped out at service is that they are regulated at the factory and do not have a movable lever for a watchmaker to regulate them. In traditional movement designs that lever is vulnerable to being accidentally moved if the watch is subjected to shock, which will result in it losing or gaining time. No lever, no vulnerability.

    Official Tissot service centres are very reasonable compared to other Swiss brands. £160 to service (replace) this movement. Personally I'd be happy to wear this for ten years before servicing.
