As the owner of a dog who's just required treatment at the vets to descale her teeth at a cost of £250, I have to concur with the staff at the vets that these chews are absolutely useless! They said the chews contain sugars, and despite all our dogs having these daily for years, our remaining dog needed 6 teeth out in the last couple of years. We're using up what we have as treats, but not buying again.
