Path of Exile is worth your time over this game

So I take it from the comments the once great blizzard is just a greedy old person who won't die. Their best work is way behind them, ie Diablo, star raft.

Honestly not worth it, the campaign is decent but after that it is a slog to try and level up and hope you get decent drops re-running the same dungeons over and over again. I gave up on it a couple of weeks into season 1

Agree, got to lvl 70 in the season and just couldn't stand to log in again to do the same dungeon over and over...

Unless you are a Diablo super fan I wouldn’t bother.

    gets boring very quickly.

I would find myself falling asleep frequently playing it

Same as Diablo 3 then. What a shame.

It’s a really good self-contained story campaign game but a failure as an ongoing / live service game. It feels like a single player game with seasonal / battle pass / currency stuff awkwardly forced into it.

I wouldn’t say it’s a bad purchase, just expect to drop it once you’re done with the story and toured the end game content.

I like the idea of Diablo 4 and the trailers were enticing, but the always online, battle pASS, season driven treadmill is just too much of a time sink for anybody who has a job and/or a family. And recently released patch that slowed the progression and added more trinkets to fill your inventory even faster ( so you'd pay for more ) is off-putting and only shows that D4 is a shopfront first and game second.

I might check it when it will be in game pass hopefully by then some of the grind will be gutted out of this game.

PS. I'm still playing D1 despite it's age. (edited)

Same here family and job mean the grind just is not possible and for me would be like buying a game which is a fudging chore.

Very good game, gives me a lot of personal time. Since I recommended this game to my friends and then I they won't talk to me anymore. Now I have quite a lot time to play the game rather with my friends.

please guys (and gals) respect your time and money, wait for this to be £15 no more, its lame d3 copy with different colour scheme

A response to baldurs gate 3? better to wait for the price to drop further i think

An absolute disappointment of a game. Is it bad? No, but it should be better than Diablo 2 which came out more than two decades ago and it isn't. Buy Diablo 2 Resurrected instead, it's ARPG perfection, I'd much rather play through that again for the 135th time than another minute of D4. (edited)

I'll buy it when it gets below £20 or comes to Game Pass.
