My Motherboard died yesterday (had a cheap Asrock that lasted me 5 years) and needed a new one as I use my PC for work (Work From Home).

This board seems to be getting some good reviews, is now sub £100 and the spec for what it is pretty good!

Its has:

Looks very good - I particularly like 6x SATA 6Gb/s ports.

In the market for a MB as current one is being a pain as works fine just powering it on/off via case. However when I turn it off at the PSU switch and then wall (only do this if going away) after several days away it will refuse to power up until I've disconnected various bits from MB. PSU fine and even tried a different one but same symptoms

Anyway found a useful guide comparing lots of features that ranks motherboards. Not sure on links policy so suggest people search for

All 300 Motherboard Feature Set and General Use Tier List For Intel Z690, H670, B660, H610, and AMD X570, B550, A520 Buildapc edition (edited)

That's quite the list! Thank you

it was rated when it was £140 (or maybe $) but its a good write-up and, Tier A, which is my kinda tier anyway:

Nice, but out competed by better boards in the 140-160 price point. If you get it on sale a decent board. Most people at that price point can fit better mobos in their systems. The lower end audio and lan chip hurt it. The problem here is the unecessarily overkill VRMs that are a massive waste of money. MSI basically put 10 points into VRMs, and 2 points into everything else. The only way to get the value out of these VRMs is to OC a 5950x. If you are not max OCing a 5950x then you wasted 30-40 dollars on VRMs that are simply way too powerful and are now going to waste. A weaker VRM setup would mean money for things like better audio, Thunderbolt support, and so on.

    Another good quote:

Tier S, Tier A, Tier B are all boards that I give my recommendation. S and A are highly recommended, and B is recommended. Tier S boards are highly recommended excellent boards that also have excellent value. However, I have made S tier FAR more exclusive, with only a few boards have good enough value to make it here.

So yeah, it appears to be a good board!

Good, as it arrived about 30 mins ago (edited)

This is way, way overpriced for this motherboard. It's £74.99 on ebuyer right now OP.

I went for the VDE WIFI which was £103 when I bought it and includes WiFi/Bluetooth and a few other bits. Certainly worth the £103.

No its £109 the matx is £75

On a side note do you reckon this offers a worthwhile upgrade over the x470 gaming plus?
