better to wait until Wednesday for the launch of the Hero 12 to see how that affects prices of the 11 and 10 in my opinion

Hero 10 is £249.99 on gopro website too. (edited)

I'd say the drop to £250 is due to the launch of the 12 so not much point waiting

I went DJI Action 3 very happy and no overheating and software and connection faultless so far

Went for the DJI Osmo Action 3 too and very happy. I have had several Gopros in the past and they were often crashing/freezing.

Never an issue with the DJI camera, just works.

I bought the 11 a few weeks ago and was concerned with the comments of overheating. I used it in Florida (Disney) , 38 degrees, on a lanyard around my neck all day, every day. No issues at all and really pleased with the videos.

I have the 9, no intense use but never had overheating issues, neither.

Is this good or suffering with overheating issues etc?

I use it for maybe half an hour at a time, recording 4K @ 60 fps and never had any issues with overheating. The battery life isn't the best.

The image stability is what seals the deal for me. I've used other cameras that were much better in other aspects (rotatable lens, long battery life, etc), but have failed when I needed them most. I cycle, and I've had a couple of close calls, and when I've reviewed the footage, you can't see anything with the other cameras. With the GoPro, you can see everything very clearly (mainly number plates). It's really impressive.

I used this in Turkey last year, constantly overheating and shutting off. I would say the temperature was around 32 degrees Celsius at the end of October, such a disappointment. Buy from Amazon, and then at least you can have an easier experience returning the item if you get overheating issues

solid, still on the hero 5 black and don't see a need to upgrade. Cant believe they're on the 11 already

This or a Ninja wood fire BBQ?

The camera is better on this.
You can also wear it. I don’t think you can wear the Ninja.

Got an email from GoPro yesterday confirming Hero12 to be released in the next week or so, so i suspect the price will drop further very soon (edited)

Hoping the 11 drops in price as well, the versatility of the 8:7 sensor on the 11 has me hooked.

Cracking deal, the Hero9 is this price on Amazon.

Very good price, and great find !

Same price on Amazon now too

Does this overheat like the 11 does anyone know
    MrAnderson's avatar
Yes they all overheat if used as a static camera for more than 20 / 30 mins. If you’re using as an action camera where it’s getting a feed of cool air, it will be fine.
  15. Inquis's avatar
I think this is less prone to overheating compared to some other action cameras. But I suppose it depends a lot on activity and resolution etc?

This is a good price. hero9 goes for the same and I've been looking to buy a GoPro... I've went with the gopro9 but seeing this now.. great price for anyone looking to find a solid deal.

Apparently GoPro 12 almost identical to the 11 barely any changes and not worth the upgrade.

Osmo action 4 looks pretty good also and in low light looks good compared to the GoPro 11

It will be interesting to get side by side footage of the Osmo action 4 and the GoPro 12

Does this upload to the cloud any faster than the 9 black? Or even how does the 11 compare?
  19. N7777's avatar
doesnt sport more on iphone 14+ make this redundant?
    Mr.Nutts's avatar
    No
  20. Juraj's avatar
Guys did you see new 12? I thought gopro bring the best one but it's 99% similar like 11
    SunkissedTraveller's avatar
its exactly the same few small changes not worth a upgrade and more than likely they didn't fix it for overheating issues.
  21. rixarena's avatar
There's quite a few conflicting views on this, I get the 12 is very similar the 11, how does the 11 compare to the 10? I'm looking to do time lapse recording and for YouTube and with the comments on overheating is there a better option? Thanks Sam

Honestly for £250 for they not test these things in hot and cold to made sure they are fit for use.
  23. cc.dc's avatar
I have one of these and have used it lots without any issue. I also have the GoPro insurance package that covers everything including accidental damage for peace of mind, which I think is around £50 per year - never needed a replacement though! Great product and fab quality with loads of accessories available.
