BLENDED PERFECTION – Nikka from the Barrel is an award winning blended Japanese whisky that is deliciously balanced with notes of dried fruit, honey, coconut, spices with a subtle smokiness
Added by @cyberbabenilorac
Nikka from the Barrel is Nikka’s flagship whisky and is a blended whisky comprised of 60% Coffey Grain and 40% malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.
Nikka was set up in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese Whisky” – who travelled to Scotland in 1918-1920 to discover the secrets of whisky production. Nikka combines traditional Scottish whisky-making techniques with Japanese precision and attention to detail.
The whiskies are aged for an average of 10 years, blended, then married for 3-6 months in barrels and bottled straight from the marrying barrel. This technique gives the whisky its renowned name.
