Same seller has one with double storage and charger included for £10 more. Seems a no brainer really.

Could you possibly pin point the link for the item that you mentioned please? Thanks a lot.

    Interesting find - thanks.

This is cheap and probably good for someone who needs a beater machine for basic use and won't plan on installing apps or storing much........., and ideally already has a 45w charger.

You will be able to (very SLOWLY) charge with a phone's USB C charger, whilst the Chromebook is off. E.g. leave it overnight. You won't be able to power (and charge) the Chromebook that way.

The N4020 was quite a step up compared to the N4000 (that this has), so might be worth checking what else you can get for a bit more as others mention........, potentially with a charger and ideally 32GB storage as a minumum.

Would this machine be suitable for editing documents such as a CV / Cover Letters? Does a word processor come with chrome?

Yes easily. You can use Google Docs and Google Sheets or Microsoft Office online.

This needs a charger, however they are cheap. Here is a listing for a decent brand Liteon which will do the job that is if you don't already have a suitable charger.

Yes it's decent enough for a cheap lappy for the kids or general usage and has updates until 2027! Just remember it doesn't come with a charger but does use a 2.25A 45W USB-C charger. Something like this would do, might even be cheaper ones on eBay, most likely are

It’s a cheap computer/Chromebook what’s not to like (other than lack of charger)! I never knew how good Chrome OS devices were until I tried them properly - very fast for the limited hardware and battery just goes and goes.

I had a HP but gifted it to my sister. It's a HP 13.3 Chromebook with AUR of 2026. 4GB 32GB. I tried Linux containers and Play store apps it was decent enough apart from terrible speakers. It would lag on boot then sorry itself out. They are pretty decent, with be hardware they'd be rocket fast

You can get a Lenovo Chromebook with a pretty snappy N4020 processor for around £60 on eBay. You'll definitely notice the difference!
    I use one daily (edited)

The good news for everyone that bought one is that Google have since this deal extended the support duration for these items by two years to 2029:

Thanks a lot. I was just thinking about getting a chromebook as my gaming laptop runs out of battery so fast, even when watching YouTube. Also I finally get to use a charger I bought, thinking it was sure to work as the connector had the thunderbolt sign which I confused with a charging sign. Coming from an A+ graduate of 2008, who is rusty around the edges!

Selling it short! These are really smart and flexible computers, at £40 a proper bargain!

thanks so much! Ordered Love it! Can watch Youtube in 4k no issues. Also bought the adapter you recommend from Amazon both came on the same day! Nice light and fun. Thank you 🙏🏾

This is a nice little device. £40 for something that takes less than 5 seconds to boot, without an SSD. why can't google achieve this on their phones. The battery is at 90% stating 13 hours remaining. Ridiculous.

Also mine doesn't have a scratch on it so hats off to the seller (edited)
