Utilising a Sony Exmor Sensor, the AUKEY DR02 Dash Camera captures everything in super-sharp full 1080p resolution with a super-wide 170° field of view. It also maintains strong performance in low-light conditions for night-time driving.

  • Upgraded Sony sensor
  • Operates in extreme conditions
  • Panic & loop recording
  • Motion detection

Upgraded Sony Sensor
The DR02 D is a complete front and rear dash cam system that supports you in any road accident. The premium quality Sony IMX307 sensors in both cameras capture razor sharp 1920x1080p 30fps video and perform excellently for night driving with HDR night vision.

Operation in Extreme Temperatures
This camera uses a supercapacitor for greater resistance to heat and cold (-30°C – 75°C / -22°F – 167°F) and longer life than standard battery technology.

Panic & Loop Recording

Panic Recording automatically captures unexpected driving incidents and secures the recordings. Loop recording allows continuous use by overwriting old and unnecessary footage.

Motion Detection
With a built-in G-sensor, the dash cam can automatically detect a sudden shaking/collision. Connect to the wired kit or AUKEY PM-YY (sold separately) to maintain power to your dash cam even when the car ignition is off.

How long can it run off capacitor power?
    tcpUDPAckSack's avatar
The capacitor is only to provide power to close a video file gracefully (when the power to the unit is switched off). The capacitor doesn't provide enough power to power the unit for any longer than a few seconds.

Additional info: The unit also has an onboard battery that is soldered to the circuit board, which is used for maintaining the time, language, and other dashcam settings. The battery on my DR02 failed after 2 years and all settings were returned to default and date and time were lost. It's relatively easy to replace the onboard battery with a ML2032 battery (3v rechargeable)

What type/capacity sd card to put in dual recorders like these? Any default option on mymemory while ordering? (edited)

High endurance or Extreme pro cards. These dashcams run hot and overwrite continuously.

    I bought this yesterday

"Note: This is for the front facing camera only"

    Are you sure?

[EDIT] looks like someone (!) has now snuck in and removed that (incorrect) 'Note' from the description. (edited)

Well my order confirmation was definitely for the dual cam version with the 'D' suffix.

Hi thinking of getting one but would anyone recommend this or another?

    There are 4k fashcams

The internal battery on these is rubbish, mine is only 6 months old but now everytime I get in my car I have to set up the time etc again. I was gonna hard wire it but I've just bought a 70mai instead.

I thought this model uses supercapacitors?

Anyone recommend a dash cam with rear cam that does 2k or 4k?. Just needs to record dont need those features like gps, wifi etc.

Just had a look and cannot find any info on firmware updates for this, I have emailed their customer service but has anyone else updated this?
  12. mark.hsF8's avatar
They are good bit of kit for the money, I ordered one the last time around for the wife's car, I have a Nextbase fitted to my car, and this is easily as good as that which was three times the money!
  13. tcpUDPAckSack's avatar
They are good dashcams for the money, especially for £44.99. When I purchased my DR02 it was over £100 on a Lightning deal from Amazon (i can't get the exact price from my order history as Amazon have removed Aukey from their site).
They are basic dashcams with no WiFi or Bluetooth etc.. which were the reasons I decided to get the Aukey as I just wanted basic features.
If GPS is required, Aukey have the GM-32 GPS Antenna available (around £8.99, and currently on MyMemory)

Great price getting the double dash cam. I bought a viofo a129 pro duo recently for a decent price or I'd be all over this

Hi can anyone let me know if these need to be hardwired in ? I’ve not a clue how to do it if it is so any advice is welcome
    Almighty.Dirk's avatar
Hardwired dash cams are mostly autonomous once in place they start up with your ignition if wired correctly and switch off when you park up and turn off, I've had both and it's better by far

I (finally) decided to jump, and it looks like this is no longer available?

Ah well, I'll have to wait until it drops another £5
    Almighty.Dirk's avatar
Just added the code and all still available but seems to run out midnight tonight so don't hang around
  17. spammy's avatar
While giving it a play indoors (using a usb adaptor) I'm finding the need to reset the date each time power is connected. This is after leaving it on overnight.

Any experience with this behaviour? Is this old left-on-a-shelf stock? (edited)

I found it took a few attempts but eventually worked, seemed that if you leave it a bit before backing out the settings helped
