I know we don't have time machines but pre pandemic it was 59£. (edited)

Tbh even for 59 I wouldn't buy it. 23 pound for a ridiculous chain. I hope that one day someone will copy it and will start selling it for a non-rip off price.

Bought it from Costco for similar money a couple of years ago.. used once and realised it was rubbish.. and managed to offload it on to some poor unfortunate on Gumtree for a ‘bargain’ £70! Don’t be tempted by the concept… this is awful.

I use bosch 12v kit and I keep looking at this, but going by reviews and videos it is too small to be useful.

I own this and the reviews are correct, it is useless. Chain broke first time I tried to cut a small branch - £29 for a replacement. Useful for cutting twigs that you could snap by hand anyway; so not really useful at all.

£100 for an electric nail file!

I bought a proper 6 inch chain saw from Oregon and that works a treat for cutting bits of a tree. And it was 80 quid.

    I'm surprised by the negatives
    I've had one from launch
I've probably bought 3 chains I use the 12v volt version and it cuts pretty much whatever I throw at it including when I had to get through some kitchen surface
Lent it a mate who does a lot more DIY and he bought one
I agree chains aren't cheap and I'd rather buy a 3rd party version
    If there were available (edited)

I agree I've had one for years and found it very useful for many tasks around the garden.
I have however bought a worx mini chainsaw earlier this year (for less than this costs) and its much better (edited)

Anything more price friendly for cutting branches / small tree down in back garden, nothing fancy... but fancier than a normal axe 🪓

Its more for DIY, not cutting trees
