I have a Giant Revolt 1, bought for £1500 18 months ago with GRX.
Personally (and I know this goes against what the bike industry want us to believe) I would be quite happy with Tiagra and hydraulic brakes 2x10.
I have taken my hybrid off road tonnes of times with Tiagra and never dropped a chain. I just don't see it being worth the extra for GRX with a clutch mech and certainly not for £1500.
I'd be aiming for £1k. Or knowing me more like £500 second hand but like new. I always regret buying new bikes as they're 3x more than I am able to source them for like new
Its a hybrid with flat bars - but if you need to regularly go offroad its probably not suitable. (edited)
On the old CRC website you used to be able to sort items by newest/discount % etc etc. Now seems all that functionality that has gone which is a real shame.
I did see Apex specced bikes being sold around this price at the height of covid when the prices were through the roof, so I think the RRP is a hangover from that. Prices have calmed down now that everyone has surplus stock they're trying to get rid of. (edited)
